I wonder what kind of effect can it have on your vision. I remember reading somewhere that after 2 or 3 days your other senses can begin to compensate. I think I read that, anyway. In any case, it's far less strange than some of the drama that other guys pull off around retirement.

Yes the decision to retire or not is a big deal but it stops there for me. The reality is that people don’t like how he’s going about doing it even though it’s completely harmless. It’s odd and unconventional, and that bothers people. You call it drama, I call it refreshing. To each their own.

Why is this even an issue? Some very short minded people on here/ in the world. Why do you care…and have to speak negative about it? Maybe you need some self reflection of your own.

It is drama because he states this shit publicly during Super Bowl week. The dude is a complete attention whore. It reminds me of A-Rod opting out of his contract during the middle of a World Series game between the Sox & Rockies in '07.

The way you describe things is always off on how it happened. He didn’t going on a podcast to make some big announcement. He has a weekly spot and was asked about retirement and he answered the question. It wasn’t even the first thing they discussed in the 40+ minute segment.

Have a watch if you don’t believe me. I see a down to earth dude who seems like he’d be a really interesting person to spend a day with. He’s also wearing a shirt that I 100% need to go find and buy.

I'm not exactly sure what you'd like him to do, he was being interviewed. I find it really odd that people take issue with this. Who cares what his process is. I think people use the drama queen label when they actually just don't care for what the person is doing. He's not holding an announcement show. He didn't retire then un-retire.

Jared Leto was supposedly on a 2-week silent retreat right when COVID hit, and emerged to find a very different world. Hopefully Rodgers' isolation doesn't bring us raging spread of H5N1.
