I have never once bought something from a pop up ad the revenue per view ratio must be out of this world. Most of the ads I see are for stuff I've either already bought or already researched anyway.

Not worth trying to navigate BBI if the "blocking" ads are here to stay.
I hope you realize that the company you see featured in the ad has no idea it is happening via a pop up like that.
