Prior to the draft and following the Combine, all NFL teams are allowed private visits of up to a maximum of 30 players leading up to draft night.
The exact list for each team is known to the NFL offices as well as all NFL teams. However, teams do not openly announce TOP 30 visits. We do hear about them from agents and prospective drafted players when they answer questions from reporters.
So far this year, we know of two players that the Giants have TOP 30 visits:
DL Gervon Dexter Sr- Florida
QB Hendon Hooker- Tennessee
Last year, fans were able to learn thru various reports of 17 of the Giants TOP 30 visits, and one of them was Cordale Flott, who was eventually drafted on Day Two.
So its information worth following over the next few weeks.
Such is life in the big city.
The Giants meeting with Hooker was just scheduled. It has not yet happened.
I think Hooker would be a VG hedge and a future replacement for TT. I could see him in the 3rd round. He will be out for 2023. But some other team may be interested in bringing him in to start the process.

I just wonder where they pull the trigger.

Shows you what I know.
I hope if they decide to draft him it's not until at least the 3rd round. If they choose him earlier then that, IMO it would be quite a statement after just resigning DJ.
qbs after the 1st are unpredictable, i think sam howell was in the dj top 50 at one point last year and even discussed as a nyg option then ultimately went mid day 3. i think willis was in there too.
id agree that hooker probably goes day 2 to someone but as an overrager who probably also needs a RS year i could see him falling. in the 4th round or maybe even with the chiefs pick id consider it.
You still have TT this year. Draft one next year where the holes will not be so glaring.

you realize that they have like 7 day 3 picks including 2 fifths, 1 sixths and 3 sevenths so it's enormously likely that a few of them end up getting cut to PS right?
BloggingtheBoys has an article tracking every year that updates all the players that are invited plus all the Dallas area invitees. And every year the majority of Dallas draft picks are on this list. It has not seemed to have hurt them.

If the giants pass on the next Tom Brady or Brock Purdy bc of “all the holes on this team,” it would be gm malfeasance.
His career at Syracuse was less then what was expected, but he had a great final college year at Illinois and is very likely to be drafted on Day Three.
Last week he had an extremely impressive Pro Day with many NFL scouts and coaches in attendance.
I wish he was a little bigger, but he overcomes that with his arm strength and mobility. He could be a great Giants option with one of their 3 picks in round 7.

Teams carry 3 QBs. There’s a job opening there. A later round pick saves money vs a guy on a vet minimum.
The Giants had private visits with Thibs, Neal and Flott last year, and Schoen went to Thibs Pro Day.
