They are acting like they are a planet or two away when their QB cant play a game without getting concussed and then missing a few weeks.
They had the play offs wrapped up and collapsed last year. Adding Ramsey isn't a bad move but they need QB. I can't believe Tua makes it through another year
He is a bit of a homer but we've had several talks about the Dolphins cap situation. They just restructured the contracts of Tyreek Hill, Bradley Chubb, and Terron Armstead. They've now pushed more money into future years which will make it extremely difficult to extend Tua if he can actually stay healthy.
This is the problem with a GM on the hot seat. Grier should have been fired when the Dolphins fired Flores but he was given another chance and he still remains on the hot seat. Now he is mortgaging the future in an attempt to win now so that he can keep his job rather than whats best for the future of the team.
In 2024 Tyreek Hill will have a $31 million dollar cap hit and Miami can't release him to create cap room or else they take a $33.9 million dollar cap hit.
Bradley Chubb has a $26 million dollar cap hit and they only save $4 million if he's cut.
Xavien Howard has a $25.9 million dollar cap hit and they only save $2 million if he's cut.
Terron Armstead carries a $20.6 million dollar cap hit and they only save $1.5 million cap hit if he's cut.
The Dolphins are already projected to be over $12 million over the 2024 cap and they need to re-sign DT Christian Wilkins, RT Austin Jackson, etc.
for some of the expensive veteran wrs who arent coming off their best years like hopkins and sutton. in fact jalen ramsey is probably still a lot closer to his apex than either of those guys so perhaps they'd both bring back less. some positional differences in that there are more good corners in UFA this year but both positions are equally premium and ramsey is still a very good player.
RE: If I'm the Rams, I'm shopping Stafford and Donald
Unsure if they have no-trade clauses, but they are in full re-boot mode at this point
Definitely Donald. It's a good bet to assume he's also seen his better days. So, maybe a contender is willing to take on his contract and give LAR some more draft capital.

Donald would get the Rams a haul. Not sure about Stafford even though he's a QB. He's getting older with a serious arm injury and I believe a concussion history
donald costs them an extra $15m of dead space to trade
and given that he already considered retirement last year i doubt that's happening. stafford costs even more so that also is not happening. mcvay decided to come back and i dont think it was to do a full tear down. i think they are dumping as many contracts as they can and will create further space restructuring donald, stafford, kupp and then filling in around that.
they have 11 draft picks + the return from ramsey. so they probably already have more draft picks then they space for rookies they can roster.
im sure they want to trade robinson badly if they can get rid of the contract but im not sure they can. he'd cost 15m against the cap for the nyg as an example on a guaranteed 1 year deal with a 15m option next year. i think they'd have to give NYG a draft pick to take that deal on and probably eat some $ (then id consider it, but only if they strike out on other better WRs first).
will help against the bills and allen , and now the jets and rodgers
I think this would be a trade

They can for one year and then they will be in the same situation as the Rams are now. They still have Tua on his rookie contract.

F! It’s official? Jets and Aaron?

No not official but they said parameters for trade is set. just waiting on rodgers to ok it and it is expected

I was reading he’s still not sure and still may decide against coming to the Jets - probably wishful thinking on my part.
4 years ago when they sold off their entire team and had to start over. Horrible way of doing business.
