And now, there is a beginning framework for other mega DT deals that have a chance to get done in the coming weeks, including ones for the Titans’ Jeffery Simmons, the Jets’ Quinnen Williams and the Giants’ Dexter Lawrence.
I figured Dex would be $22-23 million AAV. This backs that up.
At a minimum, it should allow the Giants to structure a deal with a lower Year 1 cap hit. Another option is a 5-yr vs. a 4-yr deal.
WFT should definitely trade Allen now. That's way too much money for that position.

Payne and Lawrence have the same agent.
Though I don't know what you mean by 'taking less'. It doesn't seem likely that would happen after a career peak season full of awards.

His 2023 salary is set at $12.3M. Payne was franchised and would have received $18.9.

They can give him a raise this year and spread it out over the contract. Would be a smart move if they can come to something. By making it a 5 year deal counting 23 would be want a smart GM would do. Neither Reese nor DG were smart. Why we lost both LinJo And Tomlinson. Both guys whom they should have approached earlier. Maybe even Hankins.
