Sources: The #Patriots are trading TE Jonnu Smith to the #Falcons, as a former big-ticket free agent heads elsewhere and creates space for New England.
he's a te coach who overdrafted a te he doesnt seem to know how to use instead of drafting a QB, now trades for another one with 6.2m guaranteed left this year plus a 10m base for a guy who has 1 touchdown in the last 30 games combined.
not sure what their plan is but unless they go huge for lamar it's hard to see much making a difference.

To me it's somewhat understandable if the pursuit of Lamar Jackson is serious. When Jackson throws, he likes to throw it to TEs. So I can see upgrading the position group and de-valuing WRs a bit, which they don't really have outside of Drake London.
Even if they roll with Ridder next year, the TE is a young QB's best friend.
lolarthur - 105m for a guard. lindstrom is good but this is insanity

Well, ATL has Pitts, so they do have TE talent...

they were 12th in cap spending at TE before jonnu. after they should move up around 2nd behind the pats, who will fall back after trading jonnu but not enough to get overtaken by arthur smith.

#Falcons have agreed to terms on a five-year, $105 million extension with G Chris Lindstrom, source says. Big money.
