But even if you carve out his very questionable antics (I'm not), he's cracked 30 and his career has become riddled with injuries. That alone should raise Buyer Beware signals, even at 50% of his asinine ask.
The Giants need to put the focus on the Oline! I keep saying this but it’s key to becoming dominate. Just look at the two teams in the SB.. enough said..
Jeudy is interesting but would be hesitant to give up a 2. A 3 this year and 4 next year I’d be on board with
Gave Davis could be another name to watch…
If the Giants are going to use a late first or a second rounder on a WR anyway, I'd probably go with Jeudy. The contract is a separate issue to navigate, but trading a 2 isn't a big roadblock to me.

If so the Giants need to make a couple of draft day moves to recoup the second round and third round picks. They still have 11 picks but 8 of them are 4th round and later
reminds me of the second coming of the Durant/Irving Nets. They wanted their guys to join them and we all now how that turned out. Going for instant gratification by selling your soul to the devil does not work. The Jets will be a disaster 2 years from now if Rogers comes. You can bank on it.

It already started. They gave an average wr 44 mil while having a loaded wr group already

They basically swap in Lazard for Corey Davis to make Rodgers happy. Curious to see the full details of the contract. Saw only 22m guaranteed
will be off the books when time comes for Wilson’s big guarantees and new contract. Not a big deal. Slight overpay but it’s not dramatic. Lazard is also a borderline elite blocker as a WR.
WR contracts aren't that bad... OBJ I am sure will have to come way down in price.
Lazard's contract is ridiculous. 4 years, 44 million and his career season was 788 yards and 6 TDs
Looks like $22M guaranteed. So, I'd like to see more details.
I like Lazard and think he's a WR2 minus. And he's a tremendous blocker, which the Jets should like with their potential to be a very solid running team.
Question for all the people who think Lazard is good
im not sure how much more he got himself by not extending last year but i dont think it's that much. 12.66m per year basically with 2 years guaranteed.

Lazard has never had even 800 yards receiving. In fact, ‘22 was the only year he broke 700. If the Giants signed that kind of production to $22M guaranteed you’d lose your mind.
It’s amazing how much more forgiving and complimentary you are when it’s other teams
Why wouldn’t the Panthers swing for the fences. None of the QBs are a sure thing, so you swing for the guy with the highest upside. Andy Dalton to the Panthers - ( New Window )
RE: Question for all the people who think Lazard is good
If the Giants signed him to that contract would you be OK with it
No, I wouldn’t. He’s kinda like Slayton. As long as he isn’t one of your top targets he’s fine but never in a million years would I enjoy paying a guy like Lazard that kind of money.

Let's review. I said the $22M guaranteed over 4 years didn't seem that bad and I would need to see more details. Where did I say I wished NYG signed him to that contract?
I'm all for criticism, but only when it's accurate. In this case, no surprise, you are wrong because I criticize players from other teams frequently.
I can't control what you read.
RE: RE: Question for all the people who think Lazard is good

I would need to see more details, but the $22M guaranteed doesn't seem bad for a four-year deal.
However, if searching for a WR1 solution the only way to solve that this year is either trade or the draft.
$22 million guaranteed to Allen Lazard is $22 million more than I would give him, and thank goodness Joe Schoen didn’t do that either
No offense, but who cares if is more than you would give him. You are a fan who looked at some stats and think you know more than you do. Fact is most people thought he would sign for more. Probably wanted to stay with Aaron Rodgers.

No way, most Packers fans are laughing at the deal
Who needs an NFL agent, when you can just post on social media??

Loved my time in NY. I’d want to play LG and I’d want fair market value. I’m worth way more then minimum. I don’t need to sign tomorrow. (I would for the right deal). I have ACL recovery plus when teams realize that rookie they drafted can’t pass protect I’ll have more value!
What are the actual contract numbers? 4 years 44m doesn't tell us much
If the Giants paid a #3 receiver $11 million we would be flipping out, especially after the Kenny Golladay experience
You're looking at it in a vacuum. This is a guy they needed to get for Rodgers and it doesn't seem like he's going to be on the books for more than a couple of years. Releasing Corey Davis, who was never really healthy covers this years' cost.
I would also hope our GM wouldn't hesitate to bring in a player because they've made a mistake on another player in the past
But even if you carve out his very questionable antics (I'm not), he's cracked 30 and his career has become riddled with injuries. That alone should raise Buyer Beware signals, even at 50% of his asinine ask.
they are a lock to max out the 4. just a question of how high they are.

They are not FA signings that would greatly alter draft strategy but they would give us more flexibility.
I would imagine it is more like a 1 year deal
