NGT: Austin Ekeler seeking out of LAC via trade?

RCPhoenix : 3/13/2023 1:08 pm
Of note - Ekeler, 27, signed a four-year, $24.5 million contract in March of 2020. Under the final year of that deal he'd get $6.25 million in 2023.

Very interesting....

I know many think RBs should never get paid

but the Chargers are weird. Always have been.
I think they should trade him

I like him but I feel like he’s too much of a safety blanket in that offense. He needs to go somewhere where he isn’t the primary back IMO.

is fantastic
He would be dynamic for our offense

JS should get on the horn. Not much WR out there but this kid can run all the routes.
Ekeler is a fabulous player...

but unless Telesco can get a reasonable re-structure it probably makes sense to trade him.

Telesco seems to be a competent GM and he should be able to find other solutions. Plus, Spiller and Kelley may have some promise as current RBs already on the roster. Spiller was a nice prospect out of A&M.

Herbert is the center of that offense, not Ekeler.
