I’m not suggesting that the flares as the official explanation IS the phenomenon. Kinda like the lighthouse of Rendelshiem forest, lighthouses don’t typically leave marks on the ground with radiation.

The flares were dropped way after the actual UFO event. What is seen on home video is video of the flares, not the actual sighting.
