but seems like the kind of signing after the bigger deals are done, like what cash is left over. I think he does play specials but seems a bit redundant with Hodgins. If they like Jeudy looks like they want great route runners, is he in that mix? No clue.
"One thing that will likely keep teams from offering Brown a long-term deal is his lack of separation. According to Next Gen Stats, Brown was tied for the league's sixth-worst separation rate (2.3) this past season."
I've seen this stat bandied about on BBI lately, however, catch % is calculated by receptions/targets. But targets just indicate that a pass was intended for a receiver, not if the ball was catchable. I don't think it's really useful. Perhaps you can make some insight from it WRT to what the previous poster alluded to...trying to collate average depth of target, completion % of QB, I think it's a tough exercise to extract anything concrete.
But Brown is an interesting player I like, I'm not sure he's a fit for what Daboll/Kafka is looking for.

It’s not a perfect stat, but if you look at it in line with the other WR’s on the roster, it does stick out that his catch % was lowest on the team, with Gallup. And his 7.5 yds/target tells us that he wasn’t just running deep routes all year, quite the opposite.
Oh, and 58.1% catch rate.
PASS
Separation is the one trait in a WR Daboll values most
