yes it is.. now will the player you like be available for you? Or can you just trade a 3rd round pick and get a PROVEN NFL player and Pro Bowler who is already a mismatch for LBs and too big for CB's and Safeties.

Agreed. Likely non of the better TE's would last to pick #100. Can now use the first 3 picks on other positions.
Dunleavy - the only reporter getting the scoops lol
Maybe on the first 2 days but TE is definitely in play on Day 3. Draft is strong but also deep at the position. If they're featuring more multi TE looks it may actually be needed.
Correct other than it allows them the freedom to not have to rely purely on the draft to address concerns.
"Don't shop hungry" isn't just applicable to free agency.
Exactly, and the FA shopping is what nails down not shopping hungry in the draft. Schoen is making it much more difficult for other teams to handicap what the Giants are going to do and in what round. Leonard Floyd, Jack Conklin, Davonta Smith, among others
One of the best I've seen
Lets grab Tucker Kraft in the 3rd we have one dynamic TE room for 2023 and beyond
Why do nothing and just wait for the draft, where there's no guarantee you can get your target?

And the more needs we take care of now, the more flexible we can be in draft. And this doesn't preclude drafting a TE anyway.
