adding skill players. Said WR is up next. Did not mention trade or FA but I think the healthy bet is trade. Eyes on Jeudy with some unsubstantiated twitter noise on Aiyuk.
I've heard zero on Aiyuk, thats just twitter buzz which is hard to substantiate.
The smoke on Jeudy is coming from multiple locations at this point and its been there for awhile. Giants like him a lot, that is obvious.
Aiyuk to me was always going to be a tougher get. He is on a win now team that is in good position in just about every way. The broncos however are not win now (at least not in my eyes) and really should try to recover some picks from the awful wilson mistake...
Glad to hear multiple people are talking about jeudy. as ive said where there is smoke...
Not sure where you get your info, but its ALWAYS appreciate and IMO its what makes BBI so great. even if youre wrong, NOTHING outside of winning it all stirs the excitement as much as hearing the giants are close or want a certain good player. its a lot of fun this time of year so TY for that!
and i think among the trade targets that fit (jeudy/aiyuk) the cost is likely day 1 not day 2.
Agree with this. Hardman is most likely given the versatility and Kafka connection but possibly either Chark or Parris Campbell too. A speedy deep threat makes a ton of sense with Waller in the fold.

What he means by this is that there's a depth chart reshuffle on the horizon ie. they're moving a WR ahead of Patrick. Doesn't mean to the Giants though. https://twitter.com/AllbrightNFL/status/1635702620840140800 - ( New Window )
allbright is good and before the waller trade i would have been all over patrick. he's a gamble as a bigger wr at 30 coming off an acl but he is a good player and had the full year to recover.
But trading him makes no sense from the niners pov. He’s their best outside wr and he’s still cheap. There’s also been no leaks or rumors he’s even on the block. I’ll go out on a limb and say no way in hell.

Jeudy sure, maybe. Aiyuk isn’t available.
“Unsubstantiated Twitter noise on Aiyuk”, so yeah, you’re probably right.
Aiyuk probably would be desirous just to finally have someone who can run a jet sweep well and is a threat.
Apparently you missed Cincinnatis Director of Player Personnel talking the other day. He made it crystal clear that they aren’t trading Higgins and if other teams want a good WR they need to go find their own

Don’t get me wrong I’d love to get him here but I don’t see it. Niners are obviously all in why would they trade a young and vital WR.
Yes. Denver is open for business but price needs to be met. Price on Jeudy jumped at the last second during the deadline to a 1st. Sounds like Denver has backed off on that.
I wonder if they’d take a 2 and 6 for him? They’re best is a 3rd this year.
They’d have 57, 67 from Colts, they’re own 67( that’d be the sell)?
They can’t pay everyone there and I would love to pry him away.
That's what I've been wondering for a couple of months. Jeudy is good, but Tae Higgins might be better. Bengals have to cough up for Chase and Burrow, makes it difficult to pay Higgins as well.

Totally agree, I don’t see why SF would do that, but then again, I don’t know why Denver would trade Jeudy either.

Not sure how I happened upon this, but the thesis on this SF sports talk is that SF MUST HAVE a 1st to get a badly needed RT, and it would likely come from trading Aiyuk or Lance. Guys are split on who of the two would make most sense, but unified on Aiyuk must bring a 1st. Talk on Aiyuk is 2nd half of this. Long but interesting. Likely we're not giving a 1st anyway. Aiyuk Talk from SF - ( New Window )
Aiyuk probably would be desirous just to finally have someone who can run a jet sweep well and is a threat.
In theory, we got our big downfield receving threat in Waller . Preferably the quick separating crisp route running WR like Jeudy would be more ideal for this offense at this point.
Trade a bona fide WR for a chance to draft a right tackle who has never played a down in the NFL.
I guess salary plays a part too
Their reasoning (which makes sense) is that, with the addition of McCaffrey, Aiyuk now is their 4th target (including Samuel & Jennings). They are deep enough at WR that they could afford to let him go. Only opinions, but likely more informed than we are (but of course not Joe, I would think).
but Cincy has made it clear they aren't trading him. I believe their exact words were....go find your own Tee Higgins. People need to stop mentioning his name.
I am still fully on board with trading for a WR. If we can pull it off for a 3rd or even a 3rd and 4th, I'd be all for it. The chances of hitting on those picks is miniscule anyway. I understand the importance of hitting on those picks for team building, but we have a ton of picks in the draft.
I'd still consider giving up a 2nd for Hopkins, although you can probably play hardball and give up a 3 and 4 or a 3 and a future pick. Sutton, Jeudy. They all work for me.

we still have our third rounder....
Right, the 3rd round pick traded to the Raiders was the extra one they picked up from the Chiefs in the Toney deal.
their gm said they want to extend him and aren't looking to trade him.
any young 1k yard receiver is likely going to cost a 1st+. aiyuk/jeudy/higgins included.

Round 1, Pick 25

Round 4, Pick 128
Round 5, Pick 160
Round 5, Pick 172
Round 6, Pick 209 (conditional from CHI)
Round 7, Pick 240

And they need draft picks like nobody's business.

. Also didn't we get a 6th from the Raiders with the Waller trade?
No
Except Denver is not going to change their original ask from a 1 to a 3 and a 5. It might even take more than a 2.
Aiyuk imo
Jeudy

I'd try and turn a couple of those 4th-7th round picks into another 3rd rounder

Perfect!
i think both are too expensive in terms of draft picks though.

I don't either, think that ship has sailed.
Ayiuk seems to be made up and a pipe dream that would cost even more than Jeudy
I think its Hardman too.

I'd prefer to address the position in free agency (OBJ or Smith-Schuster) and draft.

I think Higgins would be the most expensive in terms of trade acquisition cost, and rightfully so, he's a baller.
I don't see him getting moved.

I'm hoping that you're not preferring OBJ over Aiyuk. Juju's already gone...
