The Giants are re-signing veteran OLB Jihad Ward to a one-year deal, per source. A Wink Martindale favorite and locker room favorite. He had 43 tackles and 3.0 sacks last season.

It's not about fingers, it's about talent, which is something that Ward doesn't have in abundance and never has. Let's face it, if Ojulari and Thibodeaux has remained healthy, Ward wouldn't have started one game.
because of his ability to set the edge, and play the run to free up the LBs behind him. Until they younger bucks do it much better, it is what it is. Ward's not a star, but he does set a tone out there.
I'm hoping Wink can coax Calais Campbell out of retiring. Some decent options in the draft. I think Adebawore can play multiple roles in this defense including 5T with his size and length. No idea how high he's blown up his stock though.
