Team Speed

It is evident that the Giants are looking for fast players on offense. I imagine that this will also be a trend on defense.

The offense across the board in the skill positions, is very fast and they are not done.

Waller may be the fastest TE in the league.

Campbell, Slayton, Smith, and Robinson have plenty of speed.

Barkley and Breida are among the fastest RBs.

Add in Daniel Jones who is among the 3-4 fastest QBs.

I expect that any additional WRs, RBs, or TEs that the Giants acquire in free agency or the draft will also have speed as a prerequisite.

The Giants offense will be very different next year.

I also think that this management values speed and the defensive players will also be fast.

This may be inciteful when speculating on the draft.
Yup.

Speed kills.

Keep opponents D on a diet of Tums.
Our D gets to the point of attack before the opponents offense gets there.
Maybe insightful. Maybe not. You can’t always get what you want.

Schoen and Daboll’s vision for building this team. Fast and physical on both sides of the ball. Okereke is a fast, physical MLB. They are not being aggressive retaining Love because he’s not fast or athletic. He’s a good player, but they value Pinnock and Belton’s athletic ability more.
They saw how Dallas and Philly ran roughshod over them. Solution? Get more talented, more athletic, faster. We are seeing that one piece at a time
the other side of this...

Fastest Combine Times In history

Rank Player Year
1 John Ross 2017
2 Kalon Barnes 2022
3 Chris Johnson 2008
3 Rondel Melendez 1999

Trung Candidate was the fastest guy in the league, with no talent. If you have equal talent, you take the faster guy. But it's not all about speed.
