I have my draft tomorrow and looking for any advice on late round sleepers (and mid-round sleepers too)
this is a keeper league, where we can keep three players at the original draft round for 3 seasons (then to keep them it costs a 1st). so people have players like Bobby Witt Jr with a 23rd round pick for example) so using a roster spot on a player like that is sometimes a good strategy.
Anyone have advice?
I am keeping Andres Gimenez with a 24th, as one of my 3 keepers, so I do have some of this strategy in place already.
2 I have my eye on.
I like him too, too many Red Sox fans though, I think he goes earlier than projected in my league. I have him flagged in my queue.

Thanks, I'll add Manzardo to my watch list
Do you think Grayson Rodriguez will make the rotation?
We have two NA slots for minors players and they can be kept with the round drafted.
I like Gunner Henderson from BALT too, but he's not really a sleeper I guess being the top prospect in baseball.
I'm hoping to steal Brett Baty late.
Other names I have been flagging as late-ish round picks who could wind up good value keepers would be (but I am not an expert by any stretch)
Jordan Walker (though see comment on Henderson)
Marcelo Mayer
Anthony Volpe (will he be the OD starter?)
Bobby Miller (may be injured though)
Endy Rodriguez
Brennan Davis (picked him late last year and wound up dropping him)
Riley Greene
Really like Brandon Pfaadt from AZ. Corbin Carroll going to be a star.
oh, I don't know what I'm talking about, lol. Could be anyone that's a late-ish round pick, but could either contribute enough this year to help or be a keeper candidate for next year.
every mock I do, at 10 the best choices are Machado or Trout.
Just assuming standard 6x6 h2h scoring which of those two would you pick?
My keepers are Gimenez (23rd round), Strider (12th round) and Tristan McKenzie (18th round).
My keeper league does a slow draft. We started a few days ago and everyone gets 5 hours to pick. Sale went earlier than where he is ranked by ESPN, you will need to nab him early. Eloy Jiminez also went earlier than expected, but our league rewards power.
A super duper sleeper may be Clarke Schmidt, he may get starts at the beginning of the season.
I'm waiting on Alexis Diaz as my second closer. (I have Felix Bautista as a cheap keeper.) Someone please let me know if that's foolish.
My approach is one top 10 closer and one closer in the next tier.

Pretty standard. And I like that approach. I may take Bednar, he could be a stud if he stays healthy.
my league is 6x6 head to head, no divisions, 6 playoff teams top 2 bye
the cats are
Hitters:
runs, hits, HR, RBI, SB, OBP
Pitchers:
wins, saves, k's, ERA, WHIP, K/BB
our lineup is pretty standard:
offense: all the positions with two utilities (no designated DH) - 10 hitters
pitchers: 2 SP, 2P, 2 RP = 6 pitchers
9 bench spots, 2 NA spots, 3 IL spots
25 round draft
My relievers are
Hader
Barlow
and supported by Taylor Rogers and Jorge Lopez.
I have 4 relievers and 5 starters (Strider, Mckenzie, Glasnow, Mahle, Manaea)
I may need another starter.
Best options at 10 were Trout, Machado, Alonso and Alcantara I guess.
I had no 2nd round pick and took Hader in the 3rd. Which might have been a mistake, but whatever, closers have some more weight here because saves, WHIP and K/BB are 3 of the six pitching categories.
