Question for those who really follow the draft evaluation

process ... it seems like this year all the Giant coaches have been involved in looking at players ...attending workouts, working at pro days, etc. whilst in the past I only remember reading about GMs, HCs and scouts. Is this new for the Giants? Trend, etc?
I have no idea but it sounds awfully like

The coaching staff didn’t have much input in years past. Minus last year due to a ton of in house stuff to get done with being a new staff

the collaborative way Schoen and Daboll work with their staffs and they've been doing it this way since they both were hired

Yes ... this I know, but I’m curious if our prior regimes did it too (not publicized) and if this is becoming more of a trend with other teams now too.

I think it’s great to have the coaches involved throughout the evaluation process to the max extent possible,
I had a suspicion...

for a while, especially in the later years of Reese and Coughlin that they weren't collaborating on the draft process as much as perhaps they should've.

I think a great example was 3rd round pick, Travis Beckum. I'm sure there are a lot of other examples. But this one always stuck out as a glaring case skillset and offensive philosophy being worlds apart.

I'm glad to see things appear much different in that way with Schoen and Daboll.
