NFT: Happy birthday Phil in LA

Jints in Carolina : 3/20/2023 9:26 am
Man I and I think a lot of us on BBI miss that guy.

Raise a toast tonight for Phil.
Yes sir

he is missed, damned good egg he was. Gone way too soon.
Seems like many of you (really) oldtimers on BBI
ColHowPepper : 3/20/2023 9:38 am : link
thought the world of him. When I arrived here in 2004 (a time when the 2004 arrivals were widely mocked, a BBI rite of passage back then), he was already kind of quiet and didn't say that much. But it took a while to get a feel for a lot of the players here, many of whom are no longer here ):
Wonderful guy

I was a member of Phil's website "A Month of Fundays". His last post was 9/20/2020. I miss conversing with Phil. He was genuine.
He was a gem.

Missed dearly by many.
He was my favorite poster on BBI.
Optimus-NY : 3/20/2023 10:11 am : link
Some of you had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with him. Great guy by all accounts and always clued in to what was what. Helped a lot of folks out on the website too.
Phil was such an upbeat contributor to this board

Always optimistic. That's sorely missed around here these days.

Definitely did. I never met him personally, but I was friends with him on Facebook and he always used to give me quality advice.

Was a person who drew others to him… even on a random, faceless forum like BBI, Phil was respected and loved. Gone WAY too soon :(

That was the thing. He had an inate ability tobknow when you needed to hear something...good or bad...to help you on your journey. He'd just reach out. And his advice was always spot on.
I respected him more than just about anyone here

he was the man. I never met him but his loss is something that still hurts. Wish he was around to give his thoughts on a variety of today's subjects.
Happy birthday, Phil

Definitely missed by me. It was always a pleasure to converse with him and/or just read his posts. Phil was one of the best parts of the BBI community. A great loss for all of us.
Happy Birthday Phil !

Yeah, Phil was an awesome dude. Met him probably 20 years ago in NYC at a BBI get-together. Big Al and a bunch of other folks were there too.
I had the pleasure of
LG in NYC : 3/20/2023 2:42 pm : link
hanging with him a few different times in LA and NY and he really was such a welcoming and positive guy. That's what stands out for me... he never really let any negativity affect him here or in real life, at least not publicly.

HBD Phil.

Hope, Montreal Man (just to name a few), has irreparably changed the site. At times, not for the better.
I’ve been here awhile and man did I like Phil.
RDJR : 3/20/2023 3:28 pm : link
I don’t post much, but I always took time out to read and respond to Phil. Darn.

He is missed and was a great part of BBI.

Not to take away from him but Hope was a great positive poster who made a great impact here as well.

Both gone way to soon
