I forgot to link it, but this was posted today
I hope one of Addison, JSN, or Quinton Johnson to fall (unlikely)
Would prefer Torrence as the inside OL pick if we go that route.
Also - if Banks is there, I'd go CB

Tippmann went to the Giants in the 2nd round at 57 overall instead of 25 in the 1st. https://www.bigblueview.com/2023/3/19/23644200/nfl-draft-2023-eds-giants-mock-draft-8-0-free-agency-causes-some-changes - ( New Window )

Yes. We need an OC. Tippman seems like a reach there for sure
If u are going the tippman or minn OC route, trade out of first and grab a high 2nd and 3rd
You can get you OC, CB, WR and whatever else floats your boat in rds 2-3
Tyler Linderbaum went #25 overall, but he went to a team that was already a contender and had 4 first-round picks over two drafts. I don't think Trippman (or any center in this draft) is as good a prospect as Linderbaum, and the Giants have holes to fill at DB, WR and potentially DL. I can see them going Guard, but not center.
Sewell, I'm more than fine with. I like Jammie too. Patterson is underrated and could be a starting C from Day One. Iosivas is a H/W/S freak.

Just another FWIW mock with millions more to come..:)

Assumption is all the guys taken had better grades than the available WRs
Also, this would be BBV's value grading system, not Dabes and Schoen.
Yup.
Unfortunately, they won’t put out THEIR mock…😂
Does it matter? Play with it…😎

Also, Schoen has repeatedly talked about picking premium positions at premium draft spots. As much of a need as it is, I don't think OC is a premium position, like WR, CB, Edge.
I think this is the PFN mock which BBV reposted. I've seen a couple recently mock OC to us in the first, I think it's a knee jerk reaction to our free agent signings. They see we signed a couple of WRs but they're not looking into the contract lengths and actual dollars committed.
WR and CB most likely to be selected imo. If they do go left field, it's probably a pass rusher, whether that be an interior guy or edge, before IOL.
a drafted center is likely in the 3rd rd.

And, yeah, as JonC says, Uncle Joe says impact at the top of the draft

But, we always knew Dave's!?
😂😂
JSN
Jalin Hyatt
Lukas Van Ness
Christian Gonzalez
Joey Porter Jr.
O'Cyrus Torrance
Jack Campbell

I agree with you on the 3WR and Banks all worthy of the 25th pick. 2nd round should be the Center unless we take Torrence at 25 if the 3 WRs are gone.
I've also been drafting either Tippmann or Wypler in the third round.
JSN
Jalin Hyatt
Lukas Van Ness
Christian Gonzalez
Joey Porter Jr.
O'Cyrus Torrance
Jack Campbell
Like the list. It looks like they are interested in Campbell but I am thinking as a 2nd rd selection.
What about Zay Flowers?
JSN
Jalin Hyatt
Lukas Van Ness

O'Cyrus Torrance

Like the list... . I'd add
Deonte Banks
Addison
Flowers
Quentin Johnston
The problem with the receivers is they are all over the place. There are like 4 or 5 that could literally go in any order in this draft.

There was a mock posted recently that they believe Campbell is going much earlier than most are predicting. I agree with that assessment. I can't find a single reason this guy won't be a first round pick. High character, captain, incredible academic achievement, terrific production, instincts show up on the film, and timed ridiculously well at the combine. I'm leaning toward him going before Trenton Simpson and pretty decent chance he doesn't even last until #25.
In terms of Flowers, I've posted a lot about how much I love him as a player. I definitely see him as a team fit in terms of the skills he brings to the table. All of that said, upon reflection, I don't see him as a value at #25, I think considering the physical profile, I look at him more of a 2nd round consideration. It's fair to say he may go in the first, but I've since seen some tape of his where he struggled against physical corners that can match up with him athletically. The drop rate of 10.3% is also a big negative.
If the Giants went another direction than receiver at #25, and he was still on the board in the 2nd, I'm running to turn the card in. He does have special skills in the open field and separation ability.
Addison I was really concerned with his combine results. Some of the physical measurements surprised me (in a bad way), and the mediocre 10-yard split stands out, as well as results in his vert and broad, 34" and 10'2" respectively, which raises questions about explosion. He didn't run the 3-cone. To me, I'm dropping him, but want to see Pro Day results and if he can put up a better performance. USC Pro Day is tomorrow.

Banks I love, but Jeremiah doesn't have him in his top 50. I'm struggling with that one.
Johnston I don't love more than the other guys I have with concerns about separation a bit and drop rate.
He mocked him to Baltimore at 23 in his recent mock.
I need more research on him, but his length and AA are amazing. Probably should have him in my group at #25. No chance he's there at #57.

Deonte Banks
Maryland · CB · Junior (RS)
Banks has excellent height, bulk and length for the position. He is very physical in press coverage, routinely staggering and re-routing wide receivers. He has average change-of-direction skills when he has to flip and open up. He does a nice job of staying on top versus go balls and he can locate the ball in the air. In off coverage, he is a little high in his pedal and wastes steps in his plant-and-drive. To see his competitiveness, watch his blocked PAT against Ohio State that was returned for a two-point conversion. He doesn't take plays off. He is a physical and reliable tackler in space. Overall, Banks doesn't have ideal fluidity, but he's tough and possesses ball skills.
Giants have been linked to have interest in a few reports from the combine I believe. He is very much a Wink type corner and would be an excellent complement boundary CB to the smaller Adoree Jackson on the other side.

You are right quite a few of the WRs have warts at 25 compared to the quality of CB or even maybe edge that will be there. If JSN drops though he is my top WR. I do still like Addison a ton though too. Yes he didn't test great but the tape doesn't lie. He is a very nuanced and special route runner. Those guys rarely bust in the NFL. Great example is Landry who had a horrific 40 but was an excellent route runner. Injuries have slowed him down but he was very good for a while. Addison projects better than he does IMO.
