G would seem the best match for his skills. Maybe his best skills is his movement and G is the position where pulling, either on sweeps or traps, is most used and best utilized. Looks like a good match to me.
So much to like about him. Mostly, what I like is his quick ability to recognize the defensive man's lean and use it against him.
As O'Hara pointed out, that quick shot to the breast shocks the opponent, then the vice grip on the pad controls the direction. Refs don't call that a hold.
what's to come. They are obviously saying we believe in Ezeudu as we spent a premium pick on him and last year he showed signs of what we expect him to be. And that's a starter for us in some capacity (maybe as soon as next year).
He has versatility and could play swing tackle in a pinch.
Below is Sy's write up on him...

2: Dalton Risner – Kansas State – 6’5/312
Grade: 79
Summary: Fifth year senior who has starting experience at center and right tackle. A three time 1st Team All Big 12 honoree and 2018 All American. Risner was the leader of the Kansas State offensive line for three years and leaves the program as arguably the top player at the position group in school history. Risner is an old school, punch-you-in-the-mouth type blocker who uses a lot of upper body and desire to get the job done. His farm-boy hands can stifle even the most powerful defenders but if he doesn’t clean up his footwork, he will struggle in pass protection. He got away with a lot in college that he simply will not in the NFL. His future is inside where some of those issues can be hidden and his ability to move people in the running game can be used more often.
*I forecast a move inside for Risner at the next level, as I jus don’t love his bending in space in pass protection. He is at his best inside where he can beat guys up in a phone booth. He does have experience at center and tackle and he could be the valuable 6th lineman right away and fill in where needed as the season progresses in year one. Risner is a tone setter, the kind of young buck you want in the trenches based solely on hustle, aggression, and mindset.

Not for nothing, but isn't that what you want - your draft picks to develop into starting?
You can clearly see his running block is good, he is fast and has good technique. His pass blocking was questionable.

Absolutely. The hope is they are right but he did flash and show really excellent lateral movement at times. So much better than I ever saw out of Lemieux for instance. Lemieux's only spot I think where his lack of lateral agility wouldn't be as horribly exposed would be OC
what the Giants plans are at center just as we didn't 3 years ago.
We were all convinced that the Giants would take a center in round 2 or 3. Instead they passed and the only interior OL they selected was Shane Lemieux in round 5. That lead to speculation that Lemieux would be moved to center. He remained at guard in camp and we quickly learned that Gates was the starting center.
For all we know the Giants are already set on Bredeson at center or perhaps they view Ezeudu as a legit option there. We will see how things play out after the draft.
... is it a bunch of plays against Jacksonville where Ezeudu pancakes his man and Barkley goes out of bounds as the Giants are trying to run out the clock?
and it all works out without having to invest premium dollars or picks on the OL?
They drafted two players last year, and inherited several more that they had a full off-season plus regular season to evaluate. They also added a few waiver wire, PS youngsters to try to develop. It’s encouraging that they didn’t need to bring back Gates and Feliciano. To me, that seems like they’re comfortable with in-house options to start at LG and Center, and possibly depth as well if value doesn’t need need in the draft. I really doubt they’re panicking about C or the guard spots as some on BBI.
I think it’s safe to say Ezuedo and Bredeson will be starting and two or three of Lemieux, Davis, McKethan, Phillips, Anderson, Henderson, Kindley, Peart or Cunningham will stand out and show enough promise to earn backup roles.
I’d guess this camp will be final auditions for carry forwards from the previous regime, LeMieux, Peart and Cunningham either make the 53 or get waived, no PS or PUP, time to shine or shown the door.
I’m all for adding a vet or a rookie for depth but not with a day 1 or 2 pick.
He also said he is exceptionally smart and one of the rare lineman that could shift from guard to tackle during a game seamlessly.
Interested to see how he progresses and where the Giants ultimately play him.

Exactly.
Not a Center.

His college coach very much disagrees with you.

I always watched Right Tackle…not anymore ( Neal is going to be just fine )
Bookends…
I found myself watching Ezeudu more and more…
He has everything you want…he absolutely has ‘It’…
His body…his flow…his reaction
The best part…he was a Rookie

Small sample size but he sure looks good in those clips.
