Yeah PFF I know but still this is horrifying lol
“ For fun: taking the 5 currently listed Ourlads starters for each team at face value and to guess where teams might have OL needs in the draft (projection based on exponential decay function of PFF pass block grade)”

Ezeudu at RG and Bred at C
That would be an imposing OL
I stopped watching his section of Skinner's OL reports because after mid-season he really was.
His games against the Eagles were horrifying.
Go figure, I liked Neal over Ekwonu during the draft.

This is just pass protection I believe
That’s a dead last expectation.
Seriously, with EN an unknown coming off a bad rookie year, Eze half rateable , our OGs mediocre, we are correctly rated.
That said, I think JS also nabs a OG and OT late besides the C.
He likely got thrown under the bus by Murray. Deservedly so.
And the Jets are right there at 29. Not sure why anyone thinks Rodgers wants to join that overrated clown show.
Was thinking same thing, but didn’t want to go there. But since you did it is exciting to think what he could do with even average protection
Stop making excuses for Jones! He’s supposed perform like an elite QB, regardless of his OL. Or his WR group. Or having Joe fucking Judge and Jason fucking Garrett - not to mention not having a healthy SB - during his 2nd and 3rd year in the league.
🙄🙄🙄🙄
BTW, the Eagles have a different issue, which became evident when Johnson tore a core muscle: their offense functions really well as a unit, especially the line; remove one key piece, though, and they can become quite ordinary in a hurry. I think they will be fine without Seumalo, but Kelce's age and Johnson's injury history become bigger risk factors every year.
Bad news: There are only a handful of worse pass-blocking RGs in the NFL.
Mandatory disclaimers re. PFF grades aside, the basic narrative here seems accurate. The Giants' biggest problem remains what it has been for most of the past dozen years.
I know sports analytics are becoming more mathematical, but this is ridiculous.

he was awful for the first 2/3 of the season but from the 2nd washington game on he stepped up. not sure if we credit chemistry or him getting acclimated to system, but if he and neal solidify the right side next year the OL should be better as long as they can find replacement level players at lg/c. bredeson should be one of those guys if he's healthy.
in their limited pass pro reps, ezeudu and lemiuex were quite literally as bad as it gets in pass pro last year. neal too. they need to not have anyone on the field that bad again this year.

There is no quick fix to fix a completely decimated oline. In fact its a very hard long term slog.
I think they see Bredeson as the C and Ezeudu as the LG. I think they will draft at least 2 OL Glowinski is what he is. Neal is the key. Neal plays better makes Glowinski look better
Sans Phi and Dal finding competent OL is a league wide issue. It also difficult because veteran guys don’t sign to stay on the bench. Your depth is either super young or career backups who have very limited spot duty
Not making one addition to an OL that ranked 32nd is pass pro could be considered pure lunacy. Or it is low key pure genius. Guess we shall see.
Honestly think they are banking on their high picks last year..Neal and Ezeudu. Bred and Glow showed they are adequate at least.
Learning curve in new system, Neal's horrid rookie year, Feliciano stinking for most of year, not realizing Bredeson was actually half decent, injuries, all were big contributing factors to the 32nd ranking.
This year its a bit different and in theory improved:
LT Thomas- top 5 in NFL
LG- Glowinski- average but adequate
OC - Bredeson - projects quite a bit better than Feliciano, EZ and Lemieux backups and will take snaps at OC
RG- Ezeudu high 3rd and flashed, excellent feet. 2nd year now.
RT 2nd year Neal, with Phillips as the backup plan
Right or wrong they probably think this is a strong enough group 2nd year in the system and with 2 starters no longer rookies but 2nd year players. They probably add somewhere in the draft here too (just not round 1 or probably not round 2).
