The injury to Nelson puts a real damper on what’s otherwise been a great night on the ice.
Isles would absolutely have a shot against Carolina or one of the other NY/NJ teams in the first or second round (if NYI can get in). Need Barzal/Nelson back to be truly dangerous.
last time they had a tough b2b on a 4 game losing streak they won both ends vs tampa/st lou but right now it seems like they are just running out of gas. they have letang literally playing almost 30 mpg.

If Isles can finish strong and get a matchup versus a CAR team missing some of its top players (and assuming NYI get Barzal and Nelson back) it would be a solid draw.
