Is it though? They drafted him 34 overall. He had a promising rookie year and then the passing offense was nonexistent last year and they traded him to move up 30 spots in the draft while saving no money. How is this good work?
After discussing Moore in the other thread, I looked up the situation from last year and apparently he got into it with a coach and cursed the coach off in practice because of his role. Maybe they see him as a cancer and the relationship was irreparable?

If true, then going to Cleveland is just the right tonic for the cure ... lol

Too bad Baker Mayfield is no longer there because it might have been entertaining to see them interact
Joe Douglas is a genius and the Jets are making great moves for Rodgers! Please stop with the Jets are good. They need to stay out of the playoffs and be unsuccessful.

In a weird way Douglas's "genius" drafting of Becton probably prevented him from drafting Neal and letting Sauce drop to us.

Thank you. It's kind of crazy to me how this same regime that failed the last 2 years is allowed to move on from their own mistakes and double down with this latest methodology of theirs..
Draft the worst young QB in decades? No problem, you can go all in on Aaron Rodgers...
Looking at the trade value chart that puts Moore in the neighborhood of Pick 66 (high 3rd Round selection)
There you go. They drafted him 34, he has a good rookie year and a disappointing sophomore year and then they trade him for pick 66. That's not good.
Depends on what you are looking at. Seems to be a bad pick for the jets but what’s done is done. If he is no longer going to play for you than getting something for him is the goal and in that regard they did well.

Why was he a bad pick? Because they Jets had no QB or shitty OC?

Bad pick? Not sure I agree with that one. He looked pretty good his rookie year and then last year the offense was just a trainwreck. I don't think this trade had anything to do with his abilities.

To be fair, the standards over there are really really low. 7 wins might as well be 12 for the Jests
It appears he wanted out and they wanted to move on. So if he wasn’t going to play much what’s the point of keeping him?
He was unhappy because after a good rookie season he saw less playing time last year than expected.
While Moore was the only one who missed practice and then demanded a trade, he wasn't the only Jet skill position player who was unhappy last year. Garrett Wilson made a bunch of subtle digs at Zach Wilson and continues to during the offseason.
It was a bad pick because, through whatever chain of events,
he either didn’t want to play for them anymore, wasn’t part of the jets plans anymore, or both. Moores ability isn’t the point because that skillset no longer mattered to the Jets.
im a moore fan, he was a guy i thought they were going to take over toney, so i like the dice roll for cleveland. this tells you they probably don't expect a zay flowers or jalin hyatt to be there at 42, and/or that they dont think those guys are on moore's level to begin with.
from the jet side this seems like a move to hedge having a high pick because you never want to go too long without picking. i dont think they are going to give up their #1 for rodgers, but now it's easier to give up their 2 and a pick next year.

Looking at the trade value chart that puts Moore in the neighborhood of Pick 66 (high 3rd Round selection)
Moore seems the better trade prospect then either Waller or Hopkins.
Based on what? It certainly isn’t based on production because Moore isn’t worthy of even being a wart on the ass of either Hopkins or Waller in that department
Even if this pick helps them get Rodgers. I think that deal is also a bad deal. They do have a very good D and they do have some talent at WR. But, Moore was included in that talent. Now, they have to give up a lot in terms of picks and $ in order to get 1, maybe 2, years from Rodgers while also having to obtain at least 2 of 3 WRs on his list. All this in a division where they are still likely the 2nd best team, they have questionable coaching at this point, and the rest of the playoff teams in the conference are very tough. Seems like a lot to give up just for an expected playoff spot.
For Rodgers so they acquired another 2 to sweeten the deal. These 2 2nd rounders are going to GB. Moore wanted out so they made the deal. This trade is a cog in the Rodgers deal

Jets are a joke. I hope they do blow all kinds of money and players on getting Rodgers. Then next year they can be looking for a new QB and new Head Coach at the same time (assuming Salah doesn't have the receipts).

How is this good work by the Jets? They traded Moore to move up 32 spots.

we selected in the first round. I'd say that the Jets did well in their current situation.

Probably that he would have taken snaps away from Randall Cobb.

We moved on from our 1st round pick for a 3rd. If our deal was good, all things considered, then their deal is good as well.
Let's not do mental gymnastics here.
