Spartan's earlier post about how to improve his swing made think how much fun it would be to play the game I love, with guys who enjoy talking sports as much as I do...
Any interest in getting together and playing one of the public courses here in the NYC area?

but the only city course worth it is Marine Park or the two in the Bronx.

Bethpage would be the best bet and cheapest imo.

is nice. Pricey, but nice.

I personally believe it's relatively easy. I've played it twice and shot sub 75 both times.

I played with I believe was cjac and Mark in Jersey. We played what was mattawang in BelleMeade NJ.

I was just starting to play then and not to often. Retired and living in Florida I can play whenever I want. I was fred102 then. Hope all is well. I see both you and mark post once in a while.

I only suggested nyc as a conversation starter...Dunwoodie is great and there are a few other decent public courses around

I was one over on the front and 2 over on the back, I don't remember what holes I bogey'd or anything like that.

You have to be a pretty low handicap

To shoot 3 over anywhere

I’ve played that Trump course twice, it’s not so easy in the fall when it’s cold and windy, but I remember a lot of short holes.

I’ll also go down to Pelham and north of here. Anything within an 45-1 hour works for me.

I set a goal to play more golf this summer. A lot of my golf buddies have dropped out of golf over the years, family / work commitments. Always looking to find new golf friends.
