I played around with the PFF mock draft simulator and made some surprising picks in both rounds (I only drafted the first two rounds).
In Rd 1, my choice basically came down to Zay Flowers and Bijan Robinson, and I took Bijan Robinson. I believe in BPA, and Bijan Robinson was clearly the better player. He's basically a younger, healthier version of Barkley with better pass protection skills and tackle-breaking ability. Barkley runs a little hot and cold and has a hard time staying healthy. Plus in a 17 game season, you really need two starting caliber running backs. You could even play both in the same backfield, which would be a nightmare for defensive coaches because they both catch the ball so well. Also, Barkley is only here for another year and parting ways after the season would free up a lot of cap room. Finally, I know Dallas would've taken Robinson after us, and I'm not giving them the next Saquan.
In Rd 2, my choice was between Joe Tippmann, C from Wisconsin, and Drew Sanders, LB from Arkansas (converted Alabama DE). Tippman was pbly the conventional choice, but again, Sanders to me is clearly the better player with a higher ceiling. I mean, you can (or should be able to) find a center or make one, but how many middle linebackers are there who can rush the passer, cover, and hit like a ton of bricks? Plus Sanders is only beginning to scratch the surface of his potential. His athletic ability is off the charts for a middle backer.
What do you guys think? Did I go off the reservation?
Flowers and Sanders would be a home run start to the draft.
1st WR Zay Flowers
2nd CB Clark Phillips III
3rd C Joe Tippman
3rd DT Keeanu Benton
I will charitably say that it is an archaic locution.

Look at you with the fancy word there, college boy!
Oh yeah, and no way to Bijan to Giants. Can't do it.
Bottoms line is don’t shoe horn a player due to positional need. Reese did they over an over because him and Mark Ross were utterly incompetent. They couldn’t hit in round one and had the absolute worst record IMO affet rd 2 of any FO In the league for over 5 years.

Lol, here we go.
Our interior DL is one of the better units in football.
Flowers and Sanders would be a home run start to the draft.
Given that Barkley is - at this point - only on the tag, there is no guarantee he will be here long term.
That said - I'd like them to see them take someone else (given BPA considerations)
