According to BBI, Wandale and Shepard will be on PUP list

to start the year, having missed all the practices and preseason games.

I'm guessing that there will be at least 3 or 4 other players who were also injured last year, who will also start on the PUP list. Those other injured players should be taken into account when we draft next month.
Wan’dale probably. Shepard maybe not. Who else do you think might be

On the PUP list? Without looking at the injured list from last season, I can’t think of anyone else.
there are likely more

Players are getting minor procedures done now that won't be reported until camp starts. But I don't think anyone has more serious injuries than those two
Any chance Wandale

will grow 3 inches and add 30 pounds ?
Davidson

tore his ACL in October. He probably won't be ready at the start of the season.
Sure there are a few

Davidson, Beavers, A. Robinson. Not only did we lose them for last year but it's somewhat likely they aren't fully recovered until 2024. Injuries are still a major factor for this team.

Yes. He is only 22. Very rare but does happen.
I would expect them to be on PUP

and miss the start of the season. Since they only have like 2 WRs under contract in 2024, I would fully expect WRs to be drafted because they need to start getting continuity in that group.

However, I think the injuries to Robinson and Shep is why the Giants have signed Crowder to act as a vet who knows the playbook and can play the slot for a few weeks and see how it goes. Maybe Jeff Smith falls in that category too. I think the Giants want camp bodies to keep the offense moving and have players ready for the start of the season, but if all goes to plan, a guy like Crowder is cut during the year and Robinson and/or Shep comes back full time after that.
They won't cut a tenured vet like Crowder

During the season. If he makes opening day he'll be on the roster all season, barring injury.
Shep is a great guy

But no one should be surprised if he doesn't make the team or never plays again. If that should happen, I'm sure the Giants would find an off-field role for him.

Thinking everyone but wandale ready for start of the season
If they are on PUP, they may be stashing them a bit if we have some rookies and FA signings who look good in camp
Gentlemen get your heads out of the sand:

Wandale: Torn ACL
Shep: Torn ACL
McKethan: Torn ACL
Collin Johnson: Torn Achilles
Aaron Robinson: Torn ACL & MCL
D J Davidson: Torn ACL
Elerson Smith: Torn Achilles
Darrian Beavers: Torn ACL

These guys are on the roster and depth chart as if they were healthy, but they're not. Maybe the NFL should schedule the Giants' next game at Lourdes.
