Houston has either the worst record or second worst record in the league. Them or the Pistons. It is clear the Rockets are tanking for The Frenchman. Even without Brunson, Knicks need to win this.

Having a really bad team ≠ tanking
You know the Knicks are in a bad slump when the Rockets have an
same ref has been arguing with Knicks players and Thibs and then proceeds to call a foul on the Knicks..
Meanwhile the other 2 refs are talking calmly with players..
Great half scoring, Houston making some tough shots, if Knicks lock down for 5 minutes they can get a bigger lead, they are getting anything they want offensively..
You can see the talent on Houston but they play zero defense and get killed in the Paint
On most nights they get nothing (scoring) from Hart, Hartenstein, Grimes,Toppin and Mitch.
If Quickley or Brunson are not going it's hard to win, they open up shots for everyone else.
This team has a bunch of guys that can't create their own basket.
We need a big win for confidence with Miami coming to town.
Lock down the 5th seed.
Miami has a tough game in Toronto who is fighting for play in positioning and seems like a team that could give Miami problems with their length...Then Miami has to travel to NY, would assume that means no Lowry because of the back to back..
Quickley is the trams 3rd best player/scorer and i dont think it is debateable. Knicks are om a different level when he has it going with Brunson and Randle and his game works well with both of them..He can go off playing off them or dominating the bal and that is a big skill to have when your not a suprstar in this league..
You then have lunchpale type of players in Hart, Grimes, Hartenstein, Mitch around the scorers on this team and they are built the right way with fitting pieces..
At this point, maybe we just bring RJ off the bench and let
This should have happened a long time ago. Thibs doesn't like to change things up.
That is true. I guess the best we can say about Thibs is that he's certainly shown the willingness to let IQ close out games with Brunson, which is obviously more important than who starts

Got to D up on Herro. It kills me when they leave him open. Also get Bam in some early foul trouble.
Sorta related, I saw this on twitter and I agree - they should bench Obi ASAP and give the backup 4 mins to Hart. Or I guess RJ even though his overall mins should be cut. It's not even Obi's fault. They're just not giving him a chance to excel.

Not giving him the chance and in the role he is in you want a guy eho can guard the 2-3-4 and be a co sistent shooter and thats not Obi..It sucks because i do think gven minutes he can be a succesful player but not in his current role

I disagree. Obi can still be useful at times in his minutes, knocking down a three here and there and running out of defensive rebounds(Hart looks for guys to do that). While I agree RJ doesn't really fit with the starters any more, He also isn't the best on the 2nd unit as he tends to start thinking he has to play hero ball and starts taking a ton of bad shots. Honestly I think its time for RJ to move on this summer. He just doesn't fit here any more. It just seems like we're destined to never hit on top 10 picks. The latter 1st rounders like IQ and Grimes and 2nd rounders like Mitch and Sims we seem to have more luck with. RJ isn't near a bust, but he's just not what you hope for at #3.
why couldn't he and Brunson play together going forward?
I just mean financially. I'd boot RJ to the curb tomorrow to keep IQ.
I still don't get your concern. We can exceed the cap to keep our own players.
And while Brunson, Randle, and RJ are well paid - they make a lot less (in some cases half) of what the mega stars make, or will be making going forward.
haaaaaaaa-I was trying to toss him a softball to get his confidence up
Yeah we need to figure out our rotation for the playoffs.

I get Brunson is out but they won a bunch of big games without him this year.
pretty cool

It sure is.
+1
Randle, Brunson and RJ all had a 40 point game earlier in the year

I agree with you, quick should start but my guess Rj would throw a shit fit, he ran out kn the media ehen he didnt close a few games..
unless he decides to play on the qualifying offer and then go to UFA, Knicks will have the right to match anything after next year..
I think he will sign a contract and if he isnt starting next to Brunson during that contract he will go somewhere to start..

Well, he hasn't improved over the past three seasons, so I wouldn't hold your breath.
