NFT: John Wick 4

UConn4523 : 3/28/2023 8:36 am
anyone see it yet? If not I highly recommend it and in imax if you can. Some of the best action you’ll ever see and it’s effectively non stop for over 2.5 hours. Easily the best since the first film and you can make a case for it being the best in the series. The stunt work and sound were incredible.
Heard it's a long movie

for an action picture.
It’s very long but very good

time flies, doesn’t feel like it’s run time.
While The Matrix is still Keanu Reeves's best film

his best acting was in Bill and Ted 1 & 2.

It's true.
Is it true

they're planning a John Wick 5 to close out the full story?

I also heard they're doing a spin-off (unclear if series or movie on one of the streaming sites) about The Continental.
Was a fitting end, enjoyable

Its not Citizen Kane. Yeah its long but the action sequences are well done, spaced well with the scenes to move the plot forward. Skarsgard was a great villain.

Answering this would give spoilers but the studio wants to continue the series. I believe after JW1 they planned on making a series but not sure what happened to that, it was 8/9 years ago. But I can see them making this the new age Bond and there’s plenty of story lines to branch off on. I’m all about it if it’s planned well.
Skarsgard

looked like Joe Burrow in the movie.

That's funny, he absolutely did.

Me personally, I loved the first one, haven't been as enamored with the rest. I know this one got really good reviews, but I thought it was ok.
I read a fan theory awhile back
Kevin999 : 3/28/2023 10:03 am : link
That each movie represents a different stage of grief....
I have not seen the 4th one yet, but it does fit for the first 3, denial anger and bargaining.

That’s interesting and accurate - 4 is about acceptance.

Technically the 4th is d
depression but that's not gonna fit for an action movie...
Does denial really fit
RicFlair : 3/28/2023 10:45 am : link
The first one?

He seemed pretty accepting of what occurred and sought out his revenge.

He denies his non-hitman life is over. He says he is just working something out but is not back for most of the movie. In the second movie he is angry about being forced to do the job and even breaks hotel rules a then because of it. In the third he negotiates a deal with the high counsel.

IMO Devils advocate was his best film. That movies is severely underrated and forgotten about.

This may not be his best acting, but it was his best scene (in my occasionally humble opinion)...
"That is one messed up little dude" - ( New Window )
Milton- that’s also MY

favorite scene from him and I’ve quoted that scene many times. It’s, unfortunately, all too true too often.
Parenthood is also

one of the best film illustrations of a dysfunctional family I’ve ever seen. It’s hidden somewhat in the comedy but it’s in plain site.
Holy Crap...

Literally just never made it through the Matrix. Just didn't like it at all and never finished it. And I love the genre. Just not sure why. But I gave up after 3 tries. It's me lol.
