Their only wins in the past two weeks came against two other teams struggling mightily lately, Ottawa and Tampa.
Truth as a Devil fan I am not happy at the last two weeks, can't seem to figure out any of the goalies we faced....
That being a given, it will be nice to beat youse guys on Thursday and hopefully set the ship right going into the PO. However if we stumble against the Rags on Thursday, I see us one and out. It how you finish that matters.
top 6 need to start doing something. too much perimeter play other

Despite that NJ is actually better on the road than they are at home, I’d still rather have home ice. I like the Rangers’ chances against them either way primarily because of the difference between Igor and Vanecek in goal. In the West, as Greg pointed out, Colorado is starting to establish their dominance. Georgiev has been a workhorse for them, and has absolutely proven that he’s a legitimate starting goalie in the NHL. In fact, he should get some Vezina consideration. Ullmark has already won it, Sorokin should come in second, and the third finalist spot will either be Hellebuyck, Oettinger, or Georgiev. Igor will slot in right after those guys with a down year, where his save percentage is still .914.
I maintain that I think the Rangers can beat anybody in the league in a 7 game series, Boston being the only team where they’d be a significant underdog. Hopefully the Rangers can make it through these last 9 games healthy and get Lindgren back for mid-April.
But the Avalanche are healthy again and playing really well. Yeah, their schedule has been pretty easy, but they are pounding those teams.
The only playoff team they beat the entire month of March is the Leafs in a shootout. The schedule has been cake the past ten days as you pointed out, even then though, they lost their only game vs a playoff team (5 - 2 to PIT at home)
they were 0 - 4 - 1 in their games against playoff teams in March with one more game today (MIN).
I do think they get the benefit of the doubt like TBL does, and health is more important than results at some level, but I don't think they're happy beating ANA 5 - 1 or MTL 8 - 4 or winning three games vs ARI (one in a shootout and one in OT).
is beat the pathetic Blue Jackets tonight at MSG, and then we set up a game on TH vs. Devils where we can tie them at 100 points with an outright win. LGR!!
Only goal for NJ was short handed on a burst down left wing by Haula. Other than that, NYI had clean stops at BL, a lot of open ice in the neutral zone, and some easy entries into their attacking third. Surprised me. Horvat going up against Meier, who looked good to my eye.

Yeah I was really surprised at how easy the Devs made it for the Isles to enter the zone. They have not been like that most of the year. Also the Devs couldn't get their speed game going at all till the 3rd period. I credit the Isles though they are very solid positionally and Palms clearly was fired up to face his former team.

Regarding Meier, I haven’t seen any games with him as a Devil. How has he looked? He was tearing it up with San Jose, seems like he’s taken a bit of a back seat to some of the Devils’ big guys, and he’s not showing up on the scoresheet nearly as often (I know no one cares about my fantasy team, but he’s one of the reasons I just got eliminated in the playoffs!) He was the player I really wanted the Rangers to get, but seems like it’s been a real slow start for him.
I was at Isles Devils last night. Granted I haven't watched too many Devils games this year but I wasn't impressed one bit. As an Islander fan, I would love a shot at them in the playoffs but I think ultimately, the Rangers steamroll them in the first round.
