head case baggage. But this actually looks to be a pretty deep class with a lot of day 2 guys having serious potential. In addition to the names above, you have at least another 5 or so guys that could be 1st year starters. Looking forward to Sy’s read on this group.

I haven't seen anyway compare him to Toney. I've seen comparisons to Tyreek Hill.
None of the WRs are squeaky clean, you could find something to say about each...but just watching the plays..the guy absolutely jumps off the screen...to me.
There was a draft analyst on twitter, guy from thedraftnetwork..posted a highlight of him just absolutely breaking a CB on a route, getting huge separation vertically downfield...and the boston collge quarterback absolutely getting hammered into the turf and not getting the ball out. The caption read: "you see this all over the zay flowers tape".
I'll see if I can find the link..he absolutely smoked the defensive back.
Here is another link to a video of an insane catch and run by Flowers..unbelievable play.
putting Zach Wilson in HOF. Opinions vary but his are worthless .
Yeah he had him ABOVe TREVOR LAWRENCE.
Simms appears to be one of those guys that likes to have controversial ranks for no other reason than just to be controversial. He had Javian Hawkins above Najee Harris and Javonte Williams. Like...why? Just dumb.
Sure he's braggadocious and has whiffed on some guys. He's also been dead on with some of his (at the time) controversial rankings. Not throwing the baby out with the bathwater because he made a mistake on Wilson and some others.

The draft is not an exact science. Everyone makes mistakes when evaluating prospects, including EVERY NFL team... and the teams make their mistakes despite having access to detailed scouting reports, medical histories and one-on-one interviews.
George Young once compared drafting players to Christmas presents, because you never know what you're going to get until you open them.
would be a dynamic trio of weapons. Throw in Hodgins and Bellinger as possession guys and Wan'dale as the gadget player, and defenses would have their hands full. Not to mention Slayton, Shep and Campbell getting their reps too.

The fact that he has been right about so many others doesn't matter, eh?
Every single draft analyst or BBIer draftnik, even, is going to have hits and misses. Sure, he's been right. But the thing is, put him side by side with a lot of other people, and he just isn't going to compare favorably, IMO. Sy's draft analysis is way, way above his. There are youtubers that are far better than him. There are multiple BBIers whose draft opinions I'd value over Simms.
He reminds me of AJ Brown. 6'2" 220 lbs, 4.46 40 YD. Very Physical.
Round 2 or 3 but I would be very happy adding him.
Flowers seems like a valid pick at 25.
Reason why I'm a little wary of drafting a WR in the 1st, there's interesting prospects later on at WR pretty much every year nowadays.
I honestly would have no problem with them double dipping on WR. I know we have a lot of 1 year rentals...but it would be nice to restock the cupboards and get that WR pipeline going with NYG draft picks. The last time the Giants drafted multiple WRs in the same draft was 2009 with Nicks and Barden.
He's played a total of 14 games in the last 3 seasons combined. He's cracked 100 yards twice in his collegiate career. What stand out trait does he have? He ran a 4.58, has a good 10-yard split, and pretty good explosion testing numbers, he has some good physical measurables, but all-in-all, the profile isn't anything you're not going to find with some receivers in the 5th round, who haven't been in the tub as much as he has.
CeeDee Lamb
Justin Jefferson
Henry Ruggs
KJ Hamler
Tee Higgins
Now, I'll give him credit for Jefferson being higher than many had him, and I'll give him a pass for Ruggs ... but where's Jerry Jeudy? KJ Hamler over Jerry Jeudy? He could've gone Brandon Aiyuk, a guy I liked a lot in that class.
YouTuber Voch Lombardi, aside from being a Dallas Cowboys' fan, is a much better talent evaluator than Simms.
In case you're wondering, he had the stack this way:
CeeDee Lamb
Justin Jefferson
Jerry Jeudy
Henry Ruggs
Tee Higgins
Honestly it just blows my mind that Wilson and Lance
Are being labeled busts two years into their careers. Wilson, the guy drafted by the same organization that drafted Geno Smith..who was also a “bust”. I really hope Rodgers goes there so the crocus can start.
The table for Zay Flowers since last year. Kid is going to be a monster in the league. A lot of comps to recent players like Hill and Waddle is decent but my comp for him is Steve Smith Sr, formerly of the Panthers. He’s a run to the podium type player and perfect for our offense.
And the guy who's the odds on fave to be drafted first is...
Smith-Njigba! As of now, that is. Followed by Johnston and then Flowers. Which is wild because JSN and Flowers were the guys projected to be in our range several weeks back. So it's fluid. My feeling is Schoen doesn't think they're true # 1's, which is why he went hog-wild trading for Waller and signing a bunch of WR's. Now that a guy he covets as a # 1 might fall to us, I'm not sure what to think anymore. Though the shake out in our offensive line is weighing heavily on things, methinks. A few more weeks to go, stay tuned.

I'm not saying either is a bust right now, but the fat lady is warming up for Wilson.
That said, Trevor Lawrence was one of the most elite QB prospects to enter the draft in the last 10 years. Andrew Luck was drafted in 2012. Since then, the only guy as a QB prospect coming out in Lawrence's class was Joe Burrow. I don't think that's even controversial. And then you have Zach Wilson ahead of him. It's flat out foolishness.

I don't really see the tenacity and will to win the ball like Smith or to win a contested catch in general. We have enough slot receivers, if healthy, or can find others in later rounds.
And maybe that’s a good thing

Ringo and Mingo is actually a distinct possibility.

There is no clear cut #1 WR..so having Flowers #1 is quite a bit different than having Milf Hunter #1..they aren't comparable.

I'd be fine with JSN or Flowers at #25 or after moving up, as long as the cost is no more than a third.
On the second day, I like Cedric Tillman.

You're putting Jalin Hyatt behind him? Mister 5 TDs against 'Bama?
Wilson's best season was his Sophomore year in 2019! His numbers that year? 12 games, 56 catches, 672 yards, and 5 scores. Jiminy.
It's absurd when considering you have a number of guys with elite traits that aren't even in his top 5.
