People are weird. It reads as “chip on the shoulder” type of player. I like guys who come to the table with a “people count me out, now I’m gonna go out and get it,” mindset. Lillard wears 0 and I don’t think anyone would call him arrogant, full of himself; he’s arguably one of the most down to earth, level headed dudes in the NBA.
And at the end of the day, it’s a number. Just don’t wear “1,” it drives me nuts.
it's a testament how many TDs he's scored in his career?
Anybody walking out on the field with that number better perform like a champ.
It takes swagger to wear it, It requires excellence to earn it.

Parris Campbell was quoted when asked about his jersey number "I wake up in the morning and piss excellence. Nobody can hang with my stuff"
Totally agree. Can stand it.
O is easy to remember and associate with their name.
And lots of people would ask why O? So it is a good question for a TV interviewer. TV viewers will remember the answer if it is a good one. Cha ching!

...is the new 1.
Binary thinking.
Knowing Darren's battle with addiction, 12 is a solid choice.

Also a good indication that Landon won't be re-signed.
Me too. Antonio Pierces number, hopefully a similar tenure and impact.

I’m surprised there isn’t uproar about Waller being 12.

Kind of a crappy # for a TE. But yeah, 12 steps......I get it.
