It’s not much but it’s a step in the right direction! He posted a couple videos to his Instagram which have since been posted on Twitter

making this team. If he does, it's poor signal about our receiving corps
May he run with the speed of Hermes

and the knees of Iron Man

May no errant breeze sully his health
Either way, he is amazingly dedicated

Good for Shep and good for the team to see how much effort he must be putting in to get back to the field

When recovering from leg injuries

Usually straight line movement comes well before lateral movement. That is very good orogress because he doesn’t look slow, but he still is probably a while away from lateral movement with any kind of explosion.

Still great to see.

I can see him really making this team. And if he doesn't, it's a good sign for our receiving corps.
Looking at this from another perspective

Yes, Shep is a great teammate and influence. But if he was a FA from another team, is there any chance the Giants would sign him? Gotta think his being here is just sentimental, not what he is as a player.

Yes, I think his contract was a bone to him being such a positive. Hard to close the door on him. But if he makes the team, it will be as a bench player. I doubt he makes it.
I’d love to be excited

I really would……
Shepard is a heartbreaking story

He’s the guy I’ve rooted hardest for. From his father, to Stoops, to the way he plays, to the teammate he is, to his commitment, he’s just an all around likeable dude. The injuries have been awful to watch for him.

That said, for the sake of his life after football, he should really retire. He’s a lower body injury or a concussion away from doing irreparable damage to his quality of life. He may already be there.
