Yankees
DJ LeMahieu (R) 2B
Aaron Judge (R) CF
Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
Giancarlo Stanton (R) RF
Josh Donaldson (R) 3B
Gleyber Torres (R) DH
Oswaldo Cabrera (S) LF
Jose Trevino (R) C
Anthony Volpe (R) SS
Cole Train on the mound.
Giants lineup not out yet.
That said, as always, I'm hoping I am wrong this season.
Did not notice DJLM at 2B and Torres at DH - I would have flipped that. But WTF do I know?
That's not off to a great start.
I didn’t watch much spring training, but it seemed Donaldson hit well right? Is it too much to hope he gets off to a hot start and gives Cash the chance to trade him before his inevitable second half fade?

In his pre-game press conference when asked about left field, Boone said Cabrera had “earned” it, but did not clarify if that meant Opening Day or the full-time job. So I asked and Boone told me Cabrera won the job.

1st Volpe makes the team, now Cabrera has won LF? What is happening here?
Until Bader returns, this should be the outfield. You're putting Hicks or, God help us, Florial out there otherwise.
All season...Stanton plays better when he gets time in the OF. I think their S&C guys are doing a better job.

Kidding. :)
Yankees Active Roster - ( New Window )
All those moves were done this morning. Effross and Gil to 60 day IL to open up roster spots on 40 man for Volpe and Franchy Cordero. All the rest to regular 10 day/15 day IL's (Bader, Montas, Rodon, Severino, Kahnle, Trivino, and Rortvedt). Although if/when they need another 40 man spot...Montas will be moved to 60 day IL as well. Maybe even Rortvedt too.
I love today’s lineup, but over time they don’t want to play Judge and Stanton in the field every day

Who would waste their money on customizing such a stupid jersey ... For what? One punchline?
It's happening!
Eh, with how much they walk him I think 350-400 HRs is much more realistic
No not new. Been used for several years. And I agree it should be banned. Supposed to offer protection to the hand, but there is no need for it to be a foot long...
Diaz is f***ing awful. There is absolutely no consistency to these calls for either side. Robot umps please.
Hmm, good job by Cole. Surprised they let him get to 90 already. Cool day, so fatigue likely down. Still looks sharp.
He’s been awful today. I know there’s a sight that tracks unofficial ump performance, have to dig it up and see how many he missed today. Has to be a dozen at least
The game is noticeably faster and it's great.
RIP the bat lol. It made the ultimate sacrifice for a good cause.
Until you are at the game and need a trip to the bathroom or to go for a beer.
Funny the one thing I noticed is you have to wait till a break between hitters to see a replay of a hit
But more than that, you love to see it!

I may be going Saturday, I will report back on that problem!
That Cabrera called strike three....dear lord
Laz Diaz the ex-Marine, that's how he acts out there too.
Always has to get himself more involved in the game, then needs to be! Calls a balk on Wandy, the first base ump is standing right there looking at the pitcher, calls nothing...
What's that old saying..."learn something new every day".
