Had my draft last night.
I had 3 keepers (below, with corresponding round forfeitures):
Adley Rutschman, rd 11
Ronald Acuna, rd 3
Pete Alonso, rd 22
I went into this without really any prep, but kind of wanting to build an offensive powerhouse and target pitching in the middle rounds, because I had so many drafted starting pitchers last year get hurt. IDK.
Here's the team after the draft:
C Rutschman, Christian Vasquez
1B: Alonso, Nathaniel Lowe
2B: Jazz Chisholm
3B: Gunnar Henderson, Ryan McMahon, Brett Baty (minors)
SS: Dansby Swanson, Fernando Tatis Jr (suspended for first 20 games), Jose Mateo
OF: Acuna, Mookie Betts, Jake McCarthy, Michael Conforto, Jake Fraley
UTIL/Bench: Luis Arraez (1B, 2B) Arraez is in my starting lineup right now until Tatis returns.
Right now I also Tatis, Mateo, Fraley, and Baty on the bench.
SP (I'll include my guys on IL here as well): Logan Webb, Jeffrey Springs, Jordan Montgomery, Carlos Rodon (IL), Tony Gonsolin (IL), Kyle Wright (IL), Mike Soroka (minors), Eduardo Rodriguez, Hunter Greene, Carlos Carrasco, Kyle Gibson, Jon Gray
RP: David Robertson, Craig Kimbrel, Reynaldo Lopez, Clarke Schmidt (in my relief spot by will be in starting rotation to start season for awhile for Yanks), Raisel Iglesias
Kind of punted on closer, but I like having Schmidt in there for a bit. I think when Iglesias returns, I should have good production with him and Robertson. I like Kimbrel and especially Lopez to seize control of the closer's role definitively, but I decided for numbers with starting pitching, and with the exception of Hunter Greene, was targeting guys with low WHIPs.
The injured pitchers don't seem to have serious injuries. I expect a May rotation of Rodon, Springs, Webb, Montgomery, Gonsolin, and Wright for depth, with some potential in a Soroka return at some point, and the depth pieces hoping to get some good returns in the short-term, at least some wins from guys in good spots like Carrasco and Schmidt.
What do you guys think? Any opinions on my outfield depth with Fraley and McCarthy? I know I'm kind of looking for a comeback season from Conforto.
I really wanted Kodai Senga but he was taken just two spots before I could grab him. I think I may have to swing a trade at some point to get more pitching, but overall I like it, and it's a process... guys will emerge and I'll try to beat the other guys to the punch.
Championship or nah? 10-team league, head to head.
C: Rutschman
C: Vasquez
1B: Alonso
2B: Chisholm
3B: Gunnar Henderson
SS: Swanson
Corner Infield: Nathaniel Lowe
Middle Infield: Luis Arraez (1B/2B eligibility)
Utility: Ryan McMahon (currently 3B eligibility, but suspect he will eventually gain 2B eligibility)
OF (4): Acuna, Betts, McCarthy, Conforto
SP (6): Webb, Springs, Montgomery, Hunter Greene, Jon Gray, Carlos Carrasco
RP (3): Robertson, Kimbrel, Schmidt
Bench (offense): Fraley (OF), Tatis Jr (SS, OF), Mateo (SS), Baty (3B)

Would you make any changes to the lineup in terms of the pitching, perhaps Lopez over Kimbrel? Or Rodriguez over Greene or Gray?
Thanks in advance for the input.
If so, not much advice to offer - 10-team in baseball is like 8-team in football.

Yeah it's 10 team.

Yeah it's 10 team.
That team looks awesome to me, once Iglesias comes back.
So, that's my struggle with 10-team in baseball is all the teams look awesome.
He has some speed, not sure of the upside on steals, but it sounds like Dave Robertson absolutely loves him, and he's going to at least have the good side of a platoon in Center, and if he keeps ranking, perhaps Roberts finds himself unable to keep him out of the lineup everyday.
I'm looking for those breakout performers for outfielders and pitching. I have my eye on some pitchers...Brayan Bello, Grayson Rodriguez (May?), and Frankie Montas (looking at June there). I think there's going to be a mad dash for Rodriguez when it gets close to the deadline for Super Two status to end. So I'm going to have to get him early, likely.
I was thinking I was going to dominate steals with Chisholm, Betts, Acuna, with some contributions from Swanson. If I can fit Mateo in at some point, he should steal a ton of bases, but he has OBP problems. But early projection is just a tie with my opponent for this first week. My first opponent has Tommy Edman, Starling Marte, Julio Rodriguez, Tim Anderson, so it will be tight, there, I think.
In my main league, more than half of the teams caught wind to this and started using it as well, so it's become much harder, but I've built a spreadsheet for full season use, where those guys give up on projections after the draft and just eyeball free agents.

Great advice, thanks. My whole league dues is only $20, so IDK about the cost-value proposition there, but I'll consider it.
