I went to college in Worcester. Ckark univ. 79-83
What was it like then?
When I moved to MA (1999) Worcestor was a shit hole, a lot of crime and drugs, now it still is, but they're trying to revitalize it.
Polar Park is great and my youngest played hockey at the "new" Worcester Ice Center a short walk from Polar Park and that place is nice too. But a few short blocks away you need to be careful.
than Pham. In fact, I predict Pham will be released some time during the season.
It will be interesting to see if DP can carry over his great spring into his first start.
And as much as you hate to lose Verlander, Mets need to find out what they have with MeGill.
Didn't you say the same thing about Kevin Pillar. Too early to tell dont you think?
Nope. I liked Pillar a lot because I watch a lot of Giants games, living in Bay Area.
I just don't know why you would sign a guy with Pham's numbers the last few years after he hit Joc for a disagreement that the two got into online two years ago. That tells me he is a headcase.
Sticking with my prediction that he won't last the season.

All those old factory towns in New England have hit hard times. Drove around Springfield last year because my grandmother was raised there and it was burned out.

You're on the WC too huh, how sweet is it to watch games at 4pm everynight. ha
Locastro flat out can't hit. He's a great defensive replacement and he's a killer pinch runner, the kind of guy who's likely to wind up on third base a few pitches after being inserted. But make no mistake, he doesn't hit.
frustrating loss but the fish are going to be pesky when they pitch
segura always kills the mets arraez and chisholm are legitimately good and around them they at least have a bunch of guys worthy of being big leaguers. just win series, or at worst get a split here since it's 4.

10 AM Giants games . Nothing like drinking beer on Sunday morning.
Hate when I go back to visit my parents and have to wait until 7 to watch baseball. I like getting up on the weekends and able to see the lineup. Don’t get me started by n having to wait until 1 for the giants games.

all season for teams. Luzardo looks like a complete stud. And I'll tell you, it doesn't get any easier with Edward Cabrera today. Filthy stuff.
There was some article about the top rotations in baseball and the Marlins not even mentioned, with the Mets first, and they named their top 10...actually 11 because they cheated and gave a tie to the Angels and Mariners at 10, and the Marlins WERE NOT EVEN MENTIONED! They even named the Dodgers and Rays as honorable mentions...so 13 teams and no mention of the Mariners. They go Alcantara, who has an argument for best pitcher in baseball, Luzardo, and Cabrera 1 through 3...that's ridiculously strong. You have guys that are not slouches in Cueto, Trevor Rogers, but watch out for their top prospect, Eury Pérez this year. Upper 90's 70-rated fastball that has touched 100, with 3 off-speed options, the change is also rated a 70, curve a 60. 12.65 Ks/9 the last two seasons in minor league ball, and a top 15 prospect in all of baseball, ranked 7th by Baseball America.
It will be interesting to see if DP can carry over his great spring into his first start.

When your game is built on speed and you aren't fast anymore ..
Yeah, you are not kidding. That ball just died. Pete looked like he thought he hit out.

That's an interesting take: looking at top 6 starters. I would even stretch it to 7.
I would guess Mets have best 5-7 in baseball: Carrasco, DP and Megill. Though Braves do have Ian Anderson and Soroka at AAA
