Contract details for Giants OLB Jihad Ward, per source: 1 year, $1.5M with $500K guaranteed ($300K signing bonus, $200K of $1.165M salary). His cap hit is $1.5M.

This represents a slight raise for Ward, who signed a VSB deal a year ago worth $1.2M with $338K guaranteed.

$2.3M remaining, 73 players under contract, 51st contract in top 51 is $940K. In other words, they have enough to sign a player with $3.2M cap hit. Or don’t sign anyone, and you have just about what you need to sign your draft class.
Also, $115M cap space for 2024, 5th best in the league. That translates to excellent flexibility to maneuver.

haven’t done a LW or AJ restructure yet apparently.

JWs excitement on big plays , as a fan, seems pretty infectious.
If he’s still can bring it, it’s a great signing for a team likely to have 2 new young players at each defensive depth level.
