God damn it. Was gonna put some clams on the Islanders tonight but my woman was bitching at me and I forgot. I had a funny feeling.

If so, it's an awesome series for a Habs fan like me because one of them is automatically eliminated.

If BOS gets Bergeron back (and Krejci at some point) I don't see TOR winning that series. TOR hasn't won a playoff series in almost two decades, I don't see them winning more than one this year (if they beat TBL)

I don't know. I'm unsure with hockey picks in the NHL playoffs because the teams I say look good and are dominant in one round usually get swept in the next.

Didn't Toronto blow it a couple of times against Boston in recent playoff history?

they had an epic meltdown (the others IMO were just average series losses) and not that recent (2013), but the Leafs were up in game 7 vs the Bruins by 3 goals halfway through the 3rd period. Two goals by BOS with the net empty in the last 90 seconds tied it. Bruins won in OT.

why the hell is game 6 not till Saturday??? is there some sort of Taylor Swift concert or something like that in LA Thursday/Friday? I've never heard of 3 days off between games in an NHL 1st rd series let alone this late in the series.

That series, that game and 2013 the year itself doesn't feel like 10 years ago.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I had a beer league game (in metro Boston) and my teammates are all Bruins fans for the most part so a couple people had their phones on the bench and were getting updates and the ref was telling us game stuff on the ice during face offs, etc. almost no one was paying attention to our game (the people playing in it or the refs, lol). it was annoying.

There doesn't seem to be an arena conflict at the Prudential Center tonight, and I can't think of any other real reason aside from some weirdo at ESPN thinking that playing tomorrow will result in a 0.1% ratings increase.

Almost every NHL 1st Rd series every year has one point in the series where they have the extra day off. It's probably a balancing the schedule kind of thing. For this series it's between games 4 & 5.

In the regular season their leading scorer may have only had 70 points, but they had 18 skaters with over 20 points.

NJD had 16, CAR had 15, EDM had 15, BOS had 14, DAL 13, NYR 13, LVG 12, COL 12, I didn't check anymore

and in the playoffs so far they have had 13 different goal scorers in 5 games (per Nathan Grav on twitter)

that is some secondary scoring for you. It's so much harder to stop a team when every line can score.
