the NY Giants got the #1 best value from their draft

NYG GM Joe Schoen, in his 2nd draft as GM, did not reach for a single player

every pick he made was a player who was expected to go earlier than selected by the NYG

Remarkable.

Perhaps the karma from beating Brady twice has been exorcized, our debt to the football gods has been paid back.
The "top 250 picks" is a silly counting metric
Gatorade Dunk : 4/30/2023 7:46 am : link
Considering there were only 259 picks in the draft (and historically there used to always be 256). Top-250 is a useless designation that tells you almost nothing more than "total draft picks" would tell you.
Jordan Riley

was supposed to be a 3rd rounder?
Eagles - put that in your pipe and smoke it

I know their roster is better right now but we are coming for them! It's refreshing to know our leadership has a plan and will execute it.
how did he get these

numbers for expected draft spot? it seems off....Hawkins round 4? where? Riley round 3? not even mentioned on Sy's report. I'm not seeing it.
The higher rounds should count less if at all

The delta on round 6/7 guys is a lot of speculation. But, that being said, our top 4 picks were very good and their expected draft position more of a certainty. Just solid drafting and getting good value. And not saying the late round guys aren’t interesting. But not sure they should count given the uncertainties.

Exactly, so getting Riley 100+ slots early is supposed to outweigh the Eagles getting Carter at 10 and Smith at 30? Don't think so. Maybe if you divide the delta by the a priori rank things would look different.

In what universe was Riley suppose to be a 3rd rounder. Probably an error that will be corrected today - even if corrected, they still came out with pretty good value.
The most exciting thing about the draft for me
gersh : 4/30/2023 8:42 am : link
Isn’t just the players that got - but that the first 3 are at key needs.
That we were able to fill those roles without reaching is awesome.

Yeah, I love our draft, but that is hard to believe. I didn't hear his name mentioned once by anyone, here or anywhere else, during the draft process, let alone as a potential third round pick.
