been a handful of great offenses in the last decade. I find it interesting that CMicks picked the '16 Falcons, which aren't really the first to come to mind, but what i do like about that team was how BALANCED the offense was.
Defensively, the 2015 broncos are one of the greatest of all time IMO. Peyton Manning was shot-putting the ball every time he threw that year and the running game was nothing special. The defense carried that team.
I think they often get overlooked but to me they're one of the top 5 defenses in the last 40 years. I rank them above the LOB Seahawks.

Those 2015 Broncos are definitely an underrated defense imo. I think that Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware duo is possibly the best 3-4 OLB duo since our own guys back in '86. They were just terrorizing QBs during that playoff run. But with all that being said, the Broncos only ranked 4th in opponents PPG in 2015.
The Legion of Boom Seahawks led the league in opponent PPG for 4 straight years from '12-'15 and then finished 3rd in '16. Historic is a big word, but 4 straight years leading the league in PPG is nothing short of it. The '13 Broncos were the #1 scoring team in the Super Bowl era, the Seahawks just embarrassed them in that Super Bowl. And they should've won 2 Super Bowls. If Carroll/Wilson don't mess that up, we're talking about a 2 year stretch of beating Brady/Peyton/Rodgers/Brees in the playoffs leading to 2 Super Bowls.
Yea, those Seahawks really stand out.
The 2019 Ravens offense is one that comes to mind as uniquely great. The league was just not ready for Lamar Jackson in that regular season. The Ravens were dead last in pass attempts that year, yet led the league in touchdown passes. They were #1 in rushing yards and yards per attempt. The led the league in Points.
They played poorly in the playoffs and Lamar has never really played at that level again. But that was a very memorable regular season run from him.

LOB has more longevity which is dominant in its own right, but my retort to the '15 broncos being 4th in ppg allowed would be that the offense didn't put them in great field position much of the time, whereas the seahawks offense of that era, while not groundbreaking, was really good at eking out 1st downs and not turning it over.
Peyton Manning's corpse, which was marginally better than brock Osweiler (who started 4 games for DEN that year) is nowhere near as good as the hawks offense in any of those years.
Interesting stats though. I don't think you can go wrong with either D if you had to pick one.
Kurt Warner Rams.
Seahawks certainly dominated those Broncos. Great D has stifled many of those great O's in every decade when it mattered most.

gave up 129 points n 14 games... 9.2 per game
