Likely a silly question, but can you get a VPN, set it for a location in NY and watch games on the local channels (FOX, CBS, etc) if you are out of state or do you have to use the international?
I have done this the last 2 seasons, not free but 200 dollars for all games and the red zone channel and nfl network. I don’t live in NY market and this was the best solution for me.
Which vpn do you have?
The game pass is $200/year?
Does it have an app to use on a smart tv or do you cast from a laptop?
Thanks

I found Intl Gamepass with a VPN to be pretty hard
I had to try a lot of times to fool the software. It would keep picking me up as in the USA. I got the $249 YoutubeTV early access deal, with Intl Gamepass being $199 I just felt the extra $50 was worth it for the convenience. I also don't have to worry about casting my laptop to a TV (another pain) and I like watching the 8 game and 4 game boxes (especially when the Giants aren't on)
West Virginia. I have xfinity cable and only subscribe to local channels. I point my VPN to New York. For a game that falls on Fox, I download the Foxsports app, login in to foxsports using my login to my xfinity account and have my VPN pointed to a New York VPN. Works everytime.
(the past three years) I mostly stopped with the NFL Europe/VPN method and I got DirecTV Student version for $120 using one of my kids college email addresses.
Not sure if youtube will offer something similar, but that was easy to do.
and lucky me I have one more year for my older kids then my younger kid is a Freshman, so if they have this option on youtube it will be better for me.

Which VPN service do you use? Router?
I use ExpressVPN. I do everything through my Nvidia Shield, but I'm sure you could go through directly your route. I always logout out of Foxsports, point my VPN to a NY area VPN, then sign back in to Foxsports. I've never had an issue. I think I'm paying $70 or so for the year for my VPN. They always seem to have promos running.

I believe to get NY channels using the VPN route you will need
to have your VPN on the router itself, not your individual laptop. At least this is what I found. If VPN was just on my computer, the end "NY App" would still figure out where I was from the router. I'm not sure how, but this was my experience
