but it's hard to watch this game and not feel disadvantaged. since the end of last year when he started making bizarre comments about players it has felt like he simply lost it a little bit. that's continued with his litany of comments about the young players he's clearly been reluctant to play despite obvious abilities.
tonight the bizarre lineup, the pinch hit decision with vogelbach, and tampa taking them to school on the base paths is just watching this team give away free outs and free bases to a better team.

Carig lit into him a bit on Twitter tonight and he was 100% correct.
doubt it. i dont think you can let a first time manager take the reigns on a ws contender with a 300m+ payroll and huge expectations.
i dont know what happened with buck but last year he was such a confident breathe of fresh air and ever since things went south at the end of the year he seems to have just soured.
do they not have a pitcher who can run for vogelbach?
he did his job and walked. how can you let him run here and leave an easy out on the base paths even if he isn't the tying run you still need to get him across.

Sad, but true :-(
The advantage for the runners is too much. They ought to go back to the previous smaller base sizes to help mitigate this.

what a garbage inning off the team's first big hit of the month.

Do we think he's ready though for that job?

coming up as potential tying runs.
the set up of a 'future is now' moment is lined up.
99.6mph ground ball
107.5mph ground ball
103.6mph home run
102.7mph pop up
4 hard hit balls.
play. him. every. day.
Period
no argument there. he and baty should be locked into 5/6.
Lol what? He hit it high. Same way there can be a 105 mph that is pounded right into the ground. It's the angle that determines the hit probability
😍
take a seat im about to blow your mind, google "rocketship".
Nice seed there by Vientos, didn't know he had that in him.
Could have been a huge turning point but the bullpen just couldn't do it's job
