Advice on bringing 3 boys to FedEx Field

CozySunday : 5/18/2023 10:32 pm
My wife and I are NY natives currently living in east TN. Could not be more excited to bring my 3 boys (12, 8, 6) to their first Giants game.

We are going to FedEx field. Got great seats, and is drivable for our family (Game 11/19)

What has been the fan experience like for those decked out in Giants gear at FedEx field? I am guessing it will be ok with young boys. What has been your experience?
it's pretty much the same at everywhere

If you are adjacent to drunk fans there could be more harassment if you are wearing Giants colors
My basic advice for road games

Just cheer for your team. Don't cheer against the other team; Redskins suck etc. Don't respond if people taunt you.

There is usually a 5 digit code for security, put it in your phone when you get to the stadium. You should be fine I would think. Have fun!!
You'll be fine. It'll be 50% Giants fans.

Just don't look for trouble.
Parking there stinks..

Park in the outside lots and walk a little farther, much easier to get out, OR plan to stay awhile and bask in our victory!

I've lived in Metro DC for 30 years and been to the past 25 or so Giant games down here, first at RFK and then FedPuke. Daughters (now 32 and 28) came with me all the time when they were younger and lived with us.

In short, never any real danger of physical harm. In fact, more often than not we were seated next to or very close to other Giant fans. At minimum, it always seems to be 33% Giant fans.

And ditto on the parking. It does suck, but the walk back to your vehicle after a win is pretty sweet.
Been to number of Giants games

at FedEx. Never once had an issue. You'll get the occasional Giants suck, etc. but I found it mostly friendly. The only times I've ever had issues at FedEx were when they were hosting the Eagles. Eagles fans are a bunch of mouth breathing assholes even when on the road who instigate fights.

Enjoy the game with your family. I hope its going to be a huge win. Some of my best football memories were from FedEx.
We are thinking of going down to DC for this game too.

We'll be staying in the city and my son and I will go to the game while the wife and daughter hang out in town.

How is public transport? Should I take a cab? Is it easy to get a cab once the game is over, or is the train the best option?

Tickets are pretty cheap, IMHO. I am looking at the club seats in the 300 level, are these worth it or would it be better to buy lower level? These seem a little far up for club seats.

Thanks Gents
I usually metro over to the stadium

The walk to FedEx sucks but seems pretty tame compared to the parking situation. I've always sat over on the Giants sidelines. Never had any issues. Usually, the WAS team fans are leaving by halftime anyway.

Take Metro subway train. Or you could try Uber, cabs aren't a good option at the stadium location.
I’ve been to a game every year

Get a parking pass - fans are totally fine. NY takes over so sit on the visitors side. Go early see the team warm up. As good of a visitor experience you can expect from a division rival. Very tame

Agreed. Incredibly tame. We brough our littles starting at age 6 up to age 15, always decked out in Giants gear, with signs, faces painted, etc. Never once had any trouble.

Transit to and from the stadium kind of sucks, regardless of how you try to do it. The walk to and from the metro isn't short. It's fine, but annoying and crowded. Getting out of the parking lots takes forever.

But agree with many of the comments above. It's a great visitor experience. Giants fans often take the stadium over and we have on multiple occasions been able make our way down to close to the bench when the game has gotten out of hand and been able to interact with players a bit.
Seeing a game

Lots of things to see in DC. Plenty of museums and other activities. Enjoy the game and Go Giants.
I live here

And go to every Giants game at Fedex and it's a complete dump of a stadium and fan experience. But like most fans, I go anyway...
