Robert Saleh said ‘realistically 6-8 teams have a chance’ to win Super Bowl every year and he thinks #Jets are one.
Interesting. Don’t recall ever hearing a coach say that. Not at this point in calendar.
But Aaron Rodgers said the same recently. Saleh adopting QB’s message?
Nahhhh
My money is on Saleh and Genius Joe being gone next year .

It was a Joe Walton-like implosion, a Jets tradition.
One of things that was amusing about Fassel's "pushing the chips" speech about the playoffs was that he was going to be fired if he missed them. The Giants started 7-2 and had 2 bad losses. They were also playing an awful Cardinals team with Dave Brown at QB so he knew that he had a really good chance to win.
But Fassel usually used these tactics to get the players to rally around it. Eventually it blew up in his face in 2003 when he had players sign the shovel to indicate they were all working together to dig out of the hole they got in. They lost their last 8 and he quit before he was fired, but still coached that last game against Carolina.
Anyway, Saleh might as well say that stuff, because I think if the Jets don't win at least 1 playoff game to finish among the final 8 teams, he's gone.
I think Woody has a type.

Aaron Rodgers not practicing with other QBs as he watched from sidelines. Hazards of OTAs?
This. He’s got no security.
Ha! Da winnah by acclamation! Classic
Would be hilarious if (when?) Rodgers career ends hilariously with the Jets.
For example, Tampa Bay Bucs Coach John McKay who was asked "what he thought of his team's execution", to which he replied "I'm in favor of it".
They’ve got a shot at the playoffs, certainly and Jets fans are going to be the happiest people in September. Good for them, they haven’t had shit to root for in years. I don’t know why we care.
None of this shit matters. Fans lap this shit up as if some stupid lip service in May makes any difference at all.
Reminder that Jim Fassel was everyone's favorite in the media. Then 2003 came along and none of that shit mattered.
I don't see what Saleh said being any kind of a big deal at all.

I’m told Aaron Rodgers has a strained calf, per sources. It’s considered minor as of now. The anticipation is he should be back fairly quick. #Jets

How many good head coaches talk like this?
Asking for a friend.

They have a very good D, good offensive weapons and they added Rodgers to put them over the top.

Tell your friend it's much ado about nothing.
If he doesn't get to the playoffs (with 7 teams now making them & with that roster) he should be tar'd and feathered.
Sort of putting a target on his team right from jump street.

His team lost it's last six games. The Jets were dominated by the Jags at home last year. His all world defense could not stop a run up the middle.

But they have Rodgers now and not Wilson, a ton of cheap weapons, and youth( other than AR). I think his window is 2 years ….or if he wins one against lil Bill, which is like a NYJ SB win at this point.
And if the Jets do make the playoffs, then the Jet fans start comparing him to Namath guaranteeing a win in the Super Bowl.
"They got a big mouth, big belly coach that talks too much"

They have no chance in the playoff with choker Rodgers.
