The $ considerations aside-I still think we're sending Joe checks-I don't get BB keeping this dude on the staff. Judge & Patricia did their best to ruin Mac Jones last fall. @ least Patricia is gone, but Judge remains? I don't get it. And I get that BB & Joe are friends, but still...
Then again, BB might be in the 'F it. I' the GOAT & I just wanna coach & BS with my sons & friends' mode.

Wasn’t there a report that BB gets a budget for the coaching staff, including himself, and by having guys on his staff that are still being paid by other teams he can keep more of the budget for himself?

Judge gets paid for another two seasons, anything the Pats pay him is offset so I’m sure they are paying him nothing. Shurmur is finally off the books. I don’t think it was a coincidence that McAdoo got back into coaching once he was off the books.
I think a hugely underrated story going into this NFL season is what happens if the Pats go something like 6-11. Kraft has been very vocal publicly about his displeasure with the Patriots recent run of late. Throw in them giving Mayo some serious coin to stay in New England/some puff pieces about Mayo in The Athletic & Globe that I presume were Kraft associates leaked...
I wouldn't be surprised if BB is chasing Shula's all time wins record elsewhere if the Pats season goes south.

Maybe he's just taking some of Judge's money off of Mara's plate via offset. It's the least he could do after recommending Judge in the first place and then following that up with the Brian Flores debacle.
sour on Judge after the 2nd game of his second season against WFT. Thursday night game on the road and he went conservative in the 4th playing for the FG. WFT then went right down the field as they did the drive prior.
Losing both Gates and Lenieux was a killer so early in the season and impacted things significantly and AT then hurt is ankle/foot which caused him to miss 3-4 games and he was never right all season imv.

Belichick won't be unemployed long if that happens. It would be funny if he ends up in Cleveland (I could see that franchise going south this year), though. Dallas is another possibility if McCarthy gets an early playoff bounce this year (Jerry Jones would LOVE the publicity with BB as his head coach!)
This dipshit could’ve been our HC last year of John Mara reportedly had his way. We would’ve likely missed out on Dabes and Schoen would’ve been saddled by Coach Clueless.
Mara wanted to keep JJ & promote Abrams to GM. Good Lord. Mara strikes me a good man & he loves the team, but his football IQ...it leaves a lot to be desired, much like his old man.

Schoen wouldn’t have taken the job. He had options.

Part of being a coach is being organized and disciplined and it is pretty clear Joe Judge is neither of those things.
Weird response. Especially since he was involved in the hiring process. Same with the previous failed head coach.

Poor attempt at sarcasm on my part, after Ebner's recent comment about DG screwing up Judge.
IMO they both sucked
Yeah, I was one of them. Prodigious mistake..😎
That was the first time I started to wonder about him.

Eric, I do remember you calling that out early while the board was still giddy over him. “Imagine Parcells doing this?”

This, then a coaching staff with almost no NFL experience, then not playing any starters in the preseason...
