plays were the pass break-ups by S Gervarrius Owens and CB Cor’Dale Flott. Why? Because by its very nature 7 x 7s in practice is pitch and catch. It is very, very hard to defend. WRs should be chewed out if they fail to catch any reasonably thrown ball.
You will see that when they have 11 x 11s in full pads (limiting vision, mobility, ease of throwing and catching) and allowing contact which is disruptive and changes players focus and balance, and where the QB is under pressure to throw, the completion percentage goes down and the break-ups increase. So, doing it wearing shirts and shorts is a great play.
Another dumbass restriction from the dumbass union.
Every minute spent negotiating and enforcing dumbass rules like this is another less minute spent on important issues like player safety, post retirement health, etc. Misguided priorities.

Please Disregard this dumbass post; it was meant to go with the Judge / OTA thread below. Apologies.
this article with Daboll's key quote (forgot to add this yesterday) as well as an updated listing of absentees based on the BBV report (though they had Robinson erroneously listed as absent).
INJURIES AND ABSENTEES…
Not spotted at were RB Saquon Barkley (unsigned Franchise player), WR Makai Polk, OG Marcus McKethan (recovering from knee surgery?), DL Leonard Williams, DL Dexter Lawrence, DL A’Shawn Robinson, DL D.J. Davidson (recovering from knee surgery?), OLB Elerson Smith (recovering from foot surgery?), CB Nick McCloud, CB Aaron Robinson (recovering from knee surgery?), Jason Pinnock, and Trenton Thompson.
ILB Darrian Beavers (recovering from knee surgery) and S Dane Belton (recovering from unspecified offseason surgery) worked on the side.
way more comfortable than any other interview he’s ever done?
I've noticed it, and I think it's one of the biggest potential developments on this team. He's been in a pressure cooker with horrific circumstances since being drafted.
*Year 1 - replacing the legend Eli Manning with a crap offense around him, and a lousy coaching staff. No pressure.
*Year 2,3 - trying to prop the used car salesman Joe Judge and his frat bros - again with a lousy roster.
*Year 4 - finally a workable situation with Daboll, but with the entire country, including most Giants fans, thinking he sucks. And still, the worst skill group in the league.
-----------
I see a guy who is FINALLY comfortable with his surroundings, and his place on this football team. And it doesn't appear/sound like he's taken his foot off the gas pedal at all. (One of the assets from his scouting report.) Pay him $100M and he'll just keep grinding. How good can this guy be this year? I think another big jump in play.

Happy to see that Robinson appears to be recovering well
Adding him, Hyatt and Parris to the WR corps (along with Waller obviously too) is going to give us a different type of dimension to our offense compared to what we saw during the stretch run last year. Should open up even more running lanes for Barkley and Jones.
Understand there's no contact during OTA, but everyone of these reports, up through the real camp in the summer, I'm going to be looking for any sort of update on how Neal is doing. His progress is crucial to the team. If he plays like he did last year then there's a ceiling on what we can do.

I prefer a QB who does serviceable work with crap talent than a QB that does ok with a talented offense.

Anyway we can see how Neal is doing or even looking, like even in practice drills? I promise I won't overreact in May.
Any reporting on Ezeudu and whether he's fully practicing?
Saw on Twitter: "When the Giants did walk-through install periods, Marcus McKethan (LT), Josh Ezeudu (LG) and Bredeson (RG) got some first-team reps. I didn’t see Bredeson take any center reps on Thursday."

Sounds like they're bringing them along slowly.
Thanks!
There's McKethan at LT again (just like last year when he took some snaps there... that says something about his feet),

Didn't see him mentioned, but I think if he was on the sidelines, we would have heard about that.

Not mentioned as far as I can tell other than what Daboll said in general about attendance (I posted this on the front page).
