In another note NJ.com reports all 3 preseason games will be broadcast locally on NBC. We usually get those broadcasts in the capitol district. OTA - ( New Window )
FYI... the preseason details have been posted since yesterday at the top of the Forum.
This report did have a much more detailed listing of who did not practice:
Not spotted at practice
Wan’Dale Robinson, Jason Pinnock, Aaron Robinson, Trenton Thompson, Nick McCloud, Marcus McKethan, Makai Polk, A’Shawn Robinson, Elerson Smith, Dexter Lawrence, D.J. Davidson and Leonard Williams were not seen on the field.
Some of those absences were likely injury-related as Wan’Dale and Aaron Robinson, McKethan and Davidson are all returning from season-ending injuries.
Linebacker Darrian Beavers was on the field but did not participate in team periods. Beavers spent last season on IR with a torn ACL.
Pat Traina said he was there, but he was working out on the side. She was told he had off-season surgery, which she guessed was on his shoulder, but couldn't confirm. Speculation was Pinnock had off-season surgery, too, but that's all it was...speculation.

absentee list explains some things like Bobby McClain starting at safety yesterday as well as Amani Oruwariye at CB.
This is what I put on the front page now:

They listed Elerson Smith's injury as "achilles"
Thanks!
Two reporters said Sterling Shepard was in some 7-on-7 drills.
Also, the Giants placed Elerson Smith on Injured Reserve in mid-December 2022 due to bone spurs near his Achilles’ that required surgery.

"Season over following IR placement Smith (Achilles) is slated to miss the rest of the 2022-23 season after being placed on injured reserve, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Impact Smith is now set to receive season-ending surgery next week on a nagging bone spur by his Achilles/heel."
is an enlargement of the bony section (calcaneous) of the heel where the achilles tendon is inserted, causing irritation and pain in the tendon. Can be treated with steroids or surgically by shaving/cutting of the bony enlargement, with minimal effect on the tendon itself, but recovery is still a months long process. Could be what is being called a bone 'spur'.

I don't think he "tore" his Achilles based on the December reports. I think reporters are remembering Achilles and just assuming it was a tear.

Isn’t that similiar to what Y Cespedes had in both feet on Mets towards his end?

I had a ridiculous amount of calcium intertwined in my thigh bone from my first hip replacement. Shit gave me more annoyance than damn replacement failing
Surgeon said most of his time was deal with that during revision
Luckily, thigh is a lot easier to heal from than Achilles so I was getting around right away.

Pat Traina said that Lemieux was playing Center with OL2. She didn't mention Ezeudu, but my guess is he was lining up at LG.

Ezeudu and Lemieux were participating in practice

Lemieux being the #2 center is interesting. Where did Patti say that?

I linked to her podcast in the Big Blue Banter thread.
Not sure what the real injury is on him.
Thanks.
