and I'm going to watch it.

Rooting for Miami, as I hate them less than Boston, and then we can also say that the team that knocked the Knicks out went to the finals.

That said, I expect Boston to win.

if this happens on his watch. He’s played poorly these past few games too (clutch FTs aside, obviously). Yankees had six pennants and four rings under their belts when this happened to them.

But as this series progressed I just couldn’t stand all their gloating and incessant whining about supposedly being “disrespected” because not many people gave them a chance to win the title when the post season started. I mean, seriously? You were the 8th seed! You know why you were the 8th seed? Because of how YOU played all season long. Like ass. Disrespected? The seeds are based on, you know, actual records! This isn’t some committee sitting around a room deciding who gets seeded and where.

Those clowns were walking around acting like they’d already won the title for the past 3 weeks. Fuck them

Either the Heat make history by choking away a 3-0 lead, or the Celtics fight all the way back just to lay an egg at home in Game 7. I find myself rooting for the latter.

I stopped following the NBA closely for a while. Just at a few glances the Heat seemed like the higher seed. The Boston Philly series was so sloppy .. the Heat seem to be more driven so far up at the half. Will see as it always does.

a Knicks fan in the early 70s, have lived through the sucky Larry Bird era, and not hate the f-in' Celtics. The Heat are not my favorites, but they beat the Knicks fair and square and I would be honored to see them blown out by Denver.

If Heat had held on in Game 6, Celtics' fans would have complained all off-season that the refs gave it to them on the three point foul call.

Tonight, Heat only have five free throws for the whole game and their waxing them.

Brown was awful last night; 8 turnovers. His defense took a step back this season too according to cousins who are big Celts fans.

I think Mazz returns. Had Boston been swept, I think he would have gotten fired.

This should be fun listening to Boston sports talk radio for a few weeks. Then they'll switch to the Pats rebound. The sox don't gather much airtime these days.

the chatter is all about the Celtics possibly moving on from Jaylen Brown. I get it that he has his flaws, but the Celtics have advanced pretty far in the playoffs (two conference finals and one NBA finals) the last few years. It's not like they're getting knocked out early ever year. If they keep running it back they're still among the favorites to win the conference for the foreseeable future. And that's their floor.

Problem is with the new CBA its going to be almost impossible to build a good team around Brown and Tatum both making 60 million a year

Celts were 39-20 and Knicks were 37-22.

During that span, Knicks were 3-0 against the Celtics head-to-head; two of those wins were in Boston, and one of those was without Brunson on the court.

In a wide open conference, lots of teams can consider themselves contenders; there's no team that doesn't need to get better.
