I feel like this game deserves its own thread. The Cs are attempting to be the first team in NBA history to win a series after going down 0-3. Likewise, Miami would be the first team to blow a 3-0 lead in NBA history. That'd be quite a stain on Spo's resume, even though Boston is much more talented.
Gun to my head, I think the Celts win tonight, but I wouldn't put $ on it. They've sucked at home in the playoffs lately & the Heat are a resilient team.
Regardless of who wins tonight, I think Denver is prohibitive favorites to win it all. And I'll be rooting for them whoever they play.
Rooting for Miami, as I hate them less than Boston, and then we can also say that the team that knocked the Knicks out went to the finals.
That said, I expect Boston to win.
Those clowns were walking around acting like they’d already won the title for the past 3 weeks. Fuck them
I’ve been incredibly unimpressed with Brown. That guy is supposed to be the Knicks savior?
Yep. Surprised people are conflicted here.
And whoever wants Jaylen Brown on their team, good luck.
Tonight, Heat only have five free throws for the whole game and their waxing them.
Celts just aren't that good. Every team in the east has real problems. Opportunity for the Knicks if they can take a step up.
And sure, now I'm a Nuggets fan.
They have to decide if Joe Mazzula is the future at HC..
I also think there will be questions on if Tatum can be your top guy..
Do they reconfigure this team? they were better going 1 big..
I think they have to decide 1 or the other on Brown and Tatum and find a better fit
Sixers could lose Harden, Bucks could look a lot different, Boston could be up for big changes..
I think Mazz returns. Had Boston been swept, I think he would have gotten fired.
This should be fun listening to Boston sports talk radio for a few weeks. Then they'll switch to the Pats rebound. The sox don't gather much airtime these days.
Problem is with the new CBA its going to be almost impossible to build a good team around Brown and Tatum both making 60 million a year
I don't care how much you hate Miami, FUCK Boston. That city has won enough, damnit. Go track the numbers since 2001, then access a mental snapshot of some entitled dickless Boston trash bag fan who EXPECTED to win last night because why shouldn't they? All that guy knows is title winning moments. You saw their faces last night? That look of utter disbelief? I did. Bout fucking time.
No more BoSton titles. No more amazing stories of comebacks and any of that bullshit. Fuck the hell off Boston. May you suffer.
During that span, Knicks were 3-0 against the Celtics head-to-head; two of those wins were in Boston, and one of those was without Brunson on the court.
In a wide open conference, lots of teams can consider themselves contenders; there's no team that doesn't need to get better.
