Obviously we have to wait until they play for real and that could take a few seasons to properly opine on it, but on paper, my favorite pick then and now is JMS..
That was the pick that took this draft to the next level. You know you’re going to get good players round one and two. And we got quality players at positions of need with both picks. However, we had a significant need at WR and at 89 there were going to be very slim pickings. And in fact the next three WR taken after 89 were Michael Wilson, Tre Tucker in the 3rd and Decius Davis at 125. Yikes. Then came Jalin Hyatt like a gift from the football gods and we had most everything we could have hoped for.
He's a third rounder. So, as a third rounder if he develops into a starting WR..to me that's a boom. I think Hyatt actually was fortunate in that he was drafted by Daboll and will be surrounded by one of the smartest groups of coaches in the league. This is not Toney, he has a good head on his shoulders..he'll grind.
Hyatt is still my favorite pick...but it's very close. I love JMS and Banks as well.
Wink needs solid CB play in order to have his defense be effect. This will bring immediate impact by allowing more man coverage and utilizing more and effective blitzes.
Hyatt in the 3rd was a steal. Most thought he'd go in the 1st or 2nd
the picks seemed to not only being from need but the best available at the time. Moving upon a bit helped solidify that strategy.
That said, I like the Hyatt pick because he was in some circles a possible 1st round pick, but he may be the deep threat to take the top the defenses that'll open up the whole field.
I like this year's draft a lot better than last year's. Not a huge fan of the KT pick or the munchkin draft theme they had going at the time.
Schmidt may be overrated. May be growing pains.
Hyatt is boom or bust.

Seems very boom or bust.
Or I'm just being a homer for once. We'll see.
Same.
Love the Banks and JMS selections as well but Moving up for Hyatt was off the charts.
