I’m not sure if this post qualifies as a football thread or not … and actually?
I don’t care. Lol
I’m a dinosaur in video game years. So, this question will date me:
Is it still possible to purchase a PS or an XBOX, download Madden, and just play a game on the same console with the person sitting next to you?
I can’t seem to find a straight answer online. And I’m damn sure not to pluck down the cash for a new system if I can’t hang with my
brother in the same room and play.
On the team select screen, each controller can pick a team, as it always has been.
The most fun I’ve ever had playing was with 4 controllers on the same TV, 2v2. Me and my buddy would get on the sticks and kick everyone’s ass, winners stay on, gotta work as a team, it’s super fun but when you grow tf up your not around 6-8 guys taking turns playing madden anymore… ahh the good old days

Have kids. Teach them to play. Problem solved. Your Welcome.
Don’t quote me on this because I never play in in-person 1v1 on the same screen but I know some form of this exists .
1. You can have your play calls on the screen and scroll move up or down one level and hit up to select the previous play.
2. You can select the play but keep scrolling to an entirely different area of the playbook to throw off some one watching your screen but picking the play and not letting go of the button while scrolling.
We have a Nintendo Switch, which doesn't have Madden, so he's been begging for a PlayStation+Madden for many months. My wife is starting to cave.
While we can afford it, it seems a bit much to buy a second console just so my 8 year old can play Madden. Any thoughts?
That being said-I also have an 8 year old and a 5 year old-and they love it. It’s a lot of fun for them and the gameplay is accessible at the lower difficulties. They’ve honestly learned a lot about football and the nfl by playing it which is cool. It’s DEFINITELY worth it for kids that age, highly recommend.

Thanks for the info!
