…to not get Freakin excited about the possibilities this team has for this year. Of course, we are going to have to stay out of injury concerns, something not easy for us to do.
Im currently of the opinion we don’t need another WR….that we have enough good players playing there…so,we should think more of spending our cap space on guys whose position is uncertain, like OL or secondary.

Jalin Hyatt has not gotten many reps with the 1’s in the two open OTAs, but noticed him sticking after practice to work with Daniel Jones. They were drilling a deep out route repeatedly, even walking through the footwork at the top of the route together in between reps.

#NYGiants rookie Tae Banks ran with the 1st team today opposite Adoree’ Jackson. This was early warmups as Banks gets coached up by DB coach Jerome Henderson and Jackson, who spoke later about being a mentor for Banks the way Logan Ryan was for him in Tennessee. 🏈 🎾

Know OTA stats are basically worthless, but the volume of catches by Collin Johnson says something. Of Tyrod Taylor's 14 completions today, eight went to Johnson. Picking up where he left off last summer.

Daniel Jones had a couple really nice throws in a late red zone period in 7-on-7, the sweetest of which was one he zipped through traffic to Parris Campbell on the move at the goal line for the score.
Also hit Isaiah Hodgins who uncovered along back line of end zone. #NYGiants
Yes they are missing a true #1 WR but they have so many good weapons with Campbell, Waller, Hodgins, Hyatt, Bellinger, Wan'Dale, Slayton, Johnson, and Crowder.

Today's OTA session ended and, while a majority players and coaches left the field, there were a good number of players who stayed behind on the field for extra work.
Kayvon Thibodeaux noticed + made sure we did.
"If you look out there, it looks like practice is still going on."
And wants to find reasons to keep him on the roster.
I like having CBs playing safety.
In that light, note that McCain started his pro career as a corner too. Jason Pinnock was a corner in college too, though I think he moved to safety as a rookie with the Jets. There's a lot of coverage talent in that dime package.
Also worth noting that McCloud might be getting a chance to bypass Belton, though it's way too early to draw any conclusions about the depth chart.

Come on, Mr. Dunleavy - how can you “see” this in a May OTA?
That said, it's not a stretch to say this. You can love Hyatt. He hasn't played a single NFL game. Robinson has like 9 career receptions.
There isn't a #1 WR on this team until someone plays like it.
I take you've never seen a walk through practice because you'd know there's no pads no blocking no hitting. It's 3/4 speed and just a jog through. Until bullets fly there's no way to say anything positive or negative. Dunleavy is an idiot

Belton's still rehabbing from offseason surgery (shoulder, maybe). I'm not sure, but I think Pinnock is, too. Regardless, I think it's interesting that they're trying McCloud at Safety in their absence. I think what they like best is his ability to process and his tackling.
Let's face it, Julian Love was a below average player until this coaching staff got a hold of him. Maybe they can do the same with McCloud. We'll see. It sure would be a blessing if they can.

Giants are not doing live 11/11 drills this spring, at least not to this point. All full team drills have been walkthroughs.
So talking about OL alignment in particular - a huge key for #NYG - is essentially useless without context until training camp, imo.
Jalin Hyatt got a few reps with Daniel Jones and the 1s in 7/7s. Made a nice catch on a comeback route.
Which last time I checked isn't a go route. Weird. #NYGiants
Not a lot of #NYGiants DL present last week for voluntary OTA session, but that changed today.
And the front looks plenty bigger with Dexter Lawrence, Leonard Williams and A'Shawn Robinson on the field in uniform and doing drills.
McCloud is also the best special teams player not named Graham Gano the Giants have, imo. Very underrated for the impact he can have this year.
