Asked Brian Daboll about potentially adding free agent WR DeAndre Hopkins. Didn’t completely shoot it down. Said GM Joe Schoen and his staff will “look into it, research it,” just like they do anytime there is a player available.

Initial question regarding Hopkins mentioned a "big wide receiver" on the market without asking on Hopkins by name, so Daboll took a stab at dry humor and quipped "how tall is he?"

This is the deepest WRs corps #Giants have had in my 6 seasons around team. Yes, you can see a true No. 1 is missing, but it’s going to be hard to make this team as WR6 if all these guys are healthy

Adoree' Jackson likes Deonte Banks’ tape and said he has a good head on his shoulders. Jackson said the biggest thing a veteran can teach a rookie CB is to focus on how to avoid making the same mistake twice.

Darius Slayton on the increased speed of the offense: “[Defenses] don’t know where it’s coming from.” They have to choose which speedster to defend.
…to not get Freakin excited about the possibilities this team has for this year. Of course, we are going to have to stay out of injury concerns, something not easy for us to do.
Im currently of the opinion we don’t need another WR….that we have enough good players playing there…so,we should think more of spending our cap space on guys whose position is uncertain, like OL or secondary.

Darius Slayton said coming out of last season they knew they needed more explosives. They’ve added a lot of speed, which has shown up in deeper passes this spring. “What's the point of having a bunch of Ferraris and keeping them in the garage? Take them out to the track."

Jalin Hyatt has not gotten many reps with the 1’s in the two open OTAs, but noticed him sticking after practice to work with Daniel Jones. They were drilling a deep out route repeatedly, even walking through the footwork at the top of the route together in between reps.

OTA #5 just wrapped. Will have a detailed practice report later, but a few things that jumped out:
• Deonte Banks was with the 1’s. As was Cor’Dale Flott in the slot.
• Nick McCloud got a ton of work at safety with the 1’s. He was in the box and deep.
